FIRST time ordering here. I hot the egusi soup with chicken and fufu. Where do I start... the chicken bone was over cooked because there definitely wasn't any meat attached. I ate a few bites and I was over it. To top 8t 8 was left with a really bad stomach ache. Never again with this place.

I would rather spend my money at a place that appreciates my business. Rude and very expensive for all bones in my soup.
1st visit something was off but i could not put my finger on it. 2nd visit it was very obvious they would rather not serve whites.

I’ve been coming to this restaurants for years, even when it was Authentic Liberian Cuisine. Today I ordered fried okra/potato greens & the portions for both meals were extremely small. Hopefully this was just an error and not a new practice because if so the meal is not worth the $25 that is being charged.
I ordered egusi with chicken, fufu, and cooked pepper sauce. The fufu was good, but the egusi did not taste anything like the one I tried before when my friend ordered it. The chicken inside the egusi was very bad — it had a lot of fat, looked unappetizing, and tasted unpleasant.
The service was also very disappointing. I called before coming and was told the food was ready. I left work during my break and drove a long distance, but when I arrived they said it needed another 15 minutes. They also don’t have a restroom, so I had to go next door.
When I explained that I came from far and needed to return to work, the woman in the kitchen started yelling in her language and slammed the kitchen door in my face. I felt disrespected and uncomfortable. Since I had already paid, I couldn’t cancel and had to wait outside.
Overall, it was a bad experience and I won’t be returning.

The fried okra soup was pretty good. Pretty spicy. If you haven't had African food it's best to look it because they don't have a menu to tell you what's in the dishes. The girl behind the counter wasn't very helpful. Overall the food was good, just a bit on the expensive side.

The food is just so horrible. How can you sell a food that has no taste for Liberian food ,nothing at all this is horrible. This is a waste of money. I just bought cassava leaf and I can’t eat this, it’s taste less. I am not sure who the cook is at this restaurant, but the owner really need to do something about this because you cannot be spending your money and you cannot eat the food.
Wonderful authentic West African food! friendly owner and staff, hidden gem here in South Phoenix! Thanks to the owner for sharing her culture with us!

I've come to this location 3 times food is really flavorful and good the cost of the soups are a bit on the expensive side usually 15 to 25 bucks and the fufu is good as well. The person taking the order is a bit rude and not very polite

Will come back. Bold spicy African flavors in every dish.
This place has kinds small portions and does have cockroaches. The staff aren't super nice. But the food is hella good and makes up for it. Looks like I'm becoming best buddies with cockroaches as I taste this yummy tasties!

Cool and clean place, the food is the best and the ladies cooked everything fresh... I love especially the fried plantain, but the jollof rice is the best

This is the second time my family an I have traveled from Flagstaff to eat here. Love the flavor of the food, the atmosphere inside, friendly family owned restaurant. Aaron who took our order was the best and made sure everything went smoothly. My kids love eating here and we will definitely be back whenever we make a trip to the valley. Worth the drive!!

If I could give less than one star, I absolutely would. We ordered the cassava leaves with chicken—the cassava leaves were hot, but the chicken was still cold. The rice tasted like it had been stored and just reheated. As for the service—don’t even bother. The attitude was awful from the start. Spent $70 just to throw it in the trash. And what type of restaurant charges $20 a plate and doesn't have a bathroom to offer their customers?
And of course, it wasn’t until we asked for to-go boxes that the attitude suddenly changed and the apologies started rolling in. But by then, it was too late—your attitude already sucked, and so did your food. What exactly are you apologizing for at that point? To top it off, they took my food to the back to pack it up, and honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if they did something to it. Never again!!!

Deceptive practices. I got $70 of food. I order BEEF in my cassava soup with fufu. I noticed I had dry pieces of chicken mix with beef. Food was good but not what I ordered. Most likely stick with my original spot.

I loved the decor! The food is delightful! The fufu is soft and sticky and soaks up and gravy and tames a bit of the kick and the heat was perfect where it's not over powering. I loved the digital menu board and that it is a simple menu. It's an order at the counter type restaurant. The service was wonderful in my experience. Of course it's a bit hidden in a very mini strip mall off of 19th/Glendale. As they say "hole in the wall restaurants tend to have the best food".
