Take this review with a grain of salt since we went on Valentines day. We were seated and ignored for almost 20min. I had to get up and tell the host that we haven't had any service. This pretty much continued for our entire dinner. Everything took forever. Our waiter was terrible. The food was mediocre and they are charging a premium. So, your getting what tastes like any other mid level italian restaurant, yet being charged for what should taste like fresh high quality food. We will never eat there again and do not reccomend you spend your money there.

We dined at Avanti to celebrate my wife's birthday. Our server Louis was very cordial and knowledgeable. We started with a very good Caesar salad. My wife loved the seafood special and I loved the lamb chops. They have a very good wine list as well. Avanti has an attractive atmosphere as well.

The hand made pasta was melt in your mouth delicious. Our server was incredibly helpful with recommendations and specials. He answered all of our questions and was great. I would highly recommend the gnocchi and the mushroom risotto. My husband had the tortellini portofino and ate every bite. We finished it off with the lightest, fluffiest tiramisu I’ve ever eaten.

Absolutely scrumptious! Would definitely get the oysters, wedge, cheesecake with amaretto, and grouper again. The Ossobuco cooked to perfection. Great place for special treat!

Friends and I dined here for New Year's Eve. I had the veal marsala which was very flavorful and tender. The other guests had the steaks and enjoyed them as well. Their Caesar salad is to die for. For dessert we shared a Tiramisu and Flan which are also very delicious.

It was just way overpriced for what you get. We ordered the calamari and we got two tentacle ends and six rings. For appetizers that are 15.00+ it was very underwhelming. Everything was.

As as a first generation Italian, I am very critical of Italian Cuisine. No one cooks Italian Food better than my ma ma right? Well Angiolo Livi comes as close as you can get. Our experience was just delightful, and the food was the best I'v had anywhere (outide of my ma ma's) Plus the decor was just spectacular and the wait staff excellent. After being on TV in Phoenix for over 30 years, people always ask where to go for the best Italian food. And I always say Avanti"s!

Every single thing about this place is exceptional, from beginning to end of the meal. You're greeted warmly, seated in a comfortable and beautiful environment, servers are attentive, but not overbearing. The food is absolutely delicious, the most delightful Italian fare you'll have anywhere in Phoenix (and I'm Sicilian, so I know of what I speak). You simply won't be disappointed at Avanti!
