I tend to rate places based of what they're trying to do. What their market is, not all places compared to all other places, and in that light AZ DELI is an easy 5 stars. They're clearly set up to be a cheap, convenient place for people in the huge office complex to grab breakfast, lunch, drinks, and some snacks, and they nail it.
I happened to be across the street at the Doubletree and saw a review mentioning a BLT and went to get one. The entrance is in the middle of the big open plaza area of the building, facing the Doubletree entrance.
The BLT wasn't overflowing with bacon, it wasn't anything to write home about, but it was good! Dang good. Squishy bread, mayo, enough bacon, juicy tomatoes, and crispy (not crispier than the bacon!) fresh enough lettuce on a French roll. It also came with a butt load of fries that where super hot, golden and crunchy. That and a bottled mountain dew was $13! $13 To get full, dip in all the ketchup and mayo I wanted, and enjoy a cold drink in some medium strength AC.
The dining room is huge with plenty of little nooks to hang out and use your phone in, and the service was friendly and fast for what was probably bacon and fries they had just dropped, plus the 6 orders ahead of me. If im at a hotel across the street again or somehow find myself working in that building, I'd be here all the time. Id probably just order burritos and sandwiches though, dunno why people are fussing with teriyaki rice bowls and stuff... Yum.

I've been eating at AZ Deli for about 6 years and have never been disappointed. I admit I'm a creature of habit so I tend to order the same things quite a bit for breakfast and lunch. Their service is great and their portions are very generous. I don't think I've ever ordered a BLT anywhere that had half as much bacon.` Their breakfasts can't be beat!

You truly are amazing! One of my father's favorite moments each day is sitting at your restaurant, enjoying the delicious cheeseburger you specially prepare for him.

Hey, it's a deli. Speedy service, but they can improve on the quality of the food. I went at noon during the week. There was a crowd. Which was expected considering restaurants for the area are limited. I ordered a salad and fries (don't judge). The fries were cold, which was disappointing.
There is plenty of room to dine in. I liked the condiments station.
The restaurant is located within an office plaza. Walking would be preferred.

The food is delicious, employees are very customer service friendly. I would like to know why they are closed and for how long? Perfect spot, it' s within walking distance from my job. Does anyone know why they closed and if they will open up again.

Not good. Not good at all. To be honest I couldn’t even finish my teriyaki chicken bowl bc it was not appetizing. The chicken was very bland and unseasoned and the rice was just rice. I barely had teriyaki sauce went back to get extra and that honestly just made the meal worse. The sauce they use is not very tasty. Unfortunate waste of $10 for me. Sorry

I was told to give this place a try because the good was sooooo good. I had the patty melt, and to be honest it was really bad. Would have given the food a 2, but service was awesome. The patty melt patty tasted fake, like it wasn't real meat... won't go

It's not terrible but could be better. I wish my "steak" bowl had actual steak not ground beef. Definitely not worth more than chicken. The other food I've tried is average to below average. They need to get away from foam containers for hot foods. I always get the container with melt marks from the food. Especially if you get fries. Also wish they served breakfast all day since they only open at 9.

I recently got a great grilled cheese sandwich from the Arizona Deli Company at 1 N Central Ave. It came with a choice of sides and was great value for the price. The chiller cabinet had tasty looking pots of fruit, yoghurt etc so would be a good option for breakfast too. Would definitely return and recommend this place.
