I love Bad Jimmy’s and the hostess was very kind and helpful! I think their name was Ellier? Something like that. Of course the food was delicious and the vibe was great, but Ellier’s service made it feel next level. I travel a lot, but anytime I’m back in Phoenix, I will be be visiting again for sure

This experience was incredibly disappointing. The website clearly stated that the restaurant was open until 10 PM, so we stopped by at 3 PM on a Saturday. When we arrived, we were told they were closing because they had run out of food.
What kind of restaurant runs out of food halfway through the day — especially one that advertises being open for several more hours?
We were really looking forward to trying Bad Jimmy’s for the first time, but after this experience, we have no desire to return. If hours are posted online, they should either be honored or updated to reflect closures due to supply issues. This was a frustrating and avoidable experience.

If I could give zero stars I would. Stood in line at 10am and got seated at 12. It’s now 1:30pm and still no food. They’re now saying that they lost our order (the only one in almost 200 people). And they’re also out of what we ordered but they just delivered the same thing to a table in front of us.

Recently I created a list of the top 20 Burger places in Phoenix based on a combination of Google and Yelp reviews. I've been trying to visit all of these places. This morning I stopped at the Phoenix Uptown Bad Jimmy's Burger joint on North 7th Street. I'm not sure what the hype was about or how they ever got the 4+ star reviews they have? I ordered their double cheese burger and was told they ONLY use American cheese so cheddar was not an option. I was also told the only topping (condiment) on the burger was their not-so-secret sauce (thousand island) - no mayo, no mustard and no ketchup unless you want to squeeze it out of the little packets available by the drink machine. I paid North of $18 for the burger and frys (no drink) and it was very disappointing. The pattys were smash-burger cooked but were so flat and tasteless that they must have started with a 1/8th or 1/6th pound patty, if that. It was also very greasy, so between the grease and the not-so-secret sauce, it was messy. Given the lack of burger options / choices, I can only assume this is how they intended it to be / taste. Needless to say I'll not be spending my burger budget on another one of these. So far, Rehab Burger, the Chuck Box, the Original Hamburger Works, Rocket Burger and Seven Brothers have lived up to their reputations and ratings. Thanks for listening.
