The bread. OMG, the bread. I'm enamored of the multigrain. (The rye is milder than most.) The breads are not only vegetarian: they're vegan and oh-so-tasty. If you go early, you might find some fresh from the oven breadsticks, perfectly salted. The gentleman who served me recommended a sneak a piece in the car. He wasn't wrong!
As a vegetarian and aspiring vegan, there isn't a lot here for me to try beyond the bread, but my husband rated the tiramisu as excellent, and the small market area has tempting goodies to try.
Although I'm limited to the bread, I'm genuinely sad that my work schedule will soon preclude weekly visits.

This was my first time visiting the Balkan Bakery, and I’m already planning my next trip back! It’s a charming, family-owned spot with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. I came specifically for the Burek, and it absolutely lived up to the hype—flaky, savory, and packed with flavor. You can tell everything is made with care and tradition.
If you’ve never tried Balkan baked goods before, this is the place to do it. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for something delicious and authentic. So glad I found this spot!

Love this place! I wish I lived closer. Burek, cevappi, and cream puff. Non-negotiable. And I've gotta have a jar of ajvar. If you're new to any of these things I've mentioned, just try it, and you won't be disappointed 😉
Luffy would so approve— That is it, that is all ! Baklava is so juicy and full of body and a great crusted crunch encompasses. Don't get me started on the French bread! It's a quaint cozy bakery where all is made from scratch. The young lady that assisted me this morning 06/01/2025 was absolutely refreshing and welcoming of me. Will be a regular for certain!
