March 2024 update — I considered leaving the neighborhood (both mine AND 1912 zip code),because of this spot. I wish I was joking keep reading if you wanna know more.Born 1994 in this state, never left. This bar is named after the year Arizona gained its statehood. Thought cool I’mDown with the OG LOCALS…but apparently the owners of this place Chad and Blaise and whoever other speculating investor had other visions of what this place actually represents??? For state 48February edit someone in parking lot named blaze or Johnny tried to fight me. Both work there. Beyond confused. Also very tall man with a mustache who works here as well, would not let me Get kicked out? (Aka walk 5 feet to me car without spending a dollar) of this bar until he could hug me? Doesn’t he know some people in service industry? Don’t want to be reminded of big, tall, hairy men that tried to touch them it’s pretty traumatizing to be honest, even for a boy. Prettt sure I aired this tall, handsome lean gentleman at my own establishment and he tipped me very handsomely so maybe that’s why he wanted to hug me because he’s like “dang my friends won’t let you come over to my party now But thanks for having me at your party last week”WEAK SAUCEI got Escorted out by their entire male staff (3 men, no security) , so I Walk to the other side of Seventh Avenue and got a Filiberto’s burrito for cheaper than a portion of any of their drinks — Big waste of time, but I got my steps in at 2 AMLuckily, I saved money going here, because I was only going to drink like four of whatever the cheapest beer they had, and just sit there and enjoy the “arizona vibes”I’m not trying to take this place down a lot of my best friends hang out here on a regular basis and that doesn’t chat my behind. But these two guys want to be ambassadors of our copper state and obviously I got their original marketing campaign confused because they don’t want locals here or they don’t want locals with opinions hereSo it’s a good bar if It’s your first time in Midtown Phoenix , want to blow a couple hundred bucks See some good looking people, And feel like you’re a part of the real wild west babyThe owner actually messaged me on my personal Instagram and told me I had to stay off “adjacent properties “I wish I got a screenshot because I’m not sure that would hold up in court if I was arrested on my daily walk to Lux ☕️ ? coffee on turney and centralOriginal REVIEW — Jon made me a solid espresso and then I walked homeWould come back if it wasn’t so far , and it was crowwwwded edit would walk backJohn’s music on tues was ??????February 31 update I now realize in hindsight, I absentmindedly left my vaporizer on the counter while I went to get my smokethis can be seen as rude and like you were holding down a piece of real estate, which is frowned upon in certain places, and I also might’ve gotten some vape into their open door while I stepped outside to smoke so when I vape in the neighborhood, I will make sure to see if the door is closedI need to quit smoking anyways and I am SMI with comorbidities for a young person My doctor has been telling me for years and I won’t do anything about it. ?Thanks for readingThank you to the bartender with the mustache for letting me borrow their lighter and thank you to John with the mustache the bartender, for bringing my vape outside, wrapped up nicely in a menu like it was Toxic waste and then having his two buddies with mustaches walk home great night overall I’m never coming back because I didn’t get the drink. How do you spend money?Parking: Good but I got towed first time and got asked for crystal second overall not badKid-friendliness: Not

Came here to meet a friend; left feeling so impressed by the service. I gave minimal guidance on what I enjoy to drink and our server delivered. Would love to come back here; will only do so after acquiring a couple old school ASU cups to give to the bar.

Love to stop in before or after dinner at Valentine. The bar is cool and inviting, not a bad seat in the house. They have great craft cocktails and service is always super sweet. The drinks sound complicated but they explain them in a way you know exactly what you are getting.

Exceptional service and exquisite cocktails! The staff members were incredibly friendly and attentive, addressing all our inquiries with grace. Each cocktail we ordered was a masterpiece in taste and presentation. Additionally, the selection of smaller bites was freshly prepared and of impeccable quality. Had a wonderful visit on Saturday! Atmosphere is casual and pleasant, love the music in the background; service was excellent - friendly, timely and attentive but not overbearing. Cocktails were unique and perfectly described, food was delicious, desserts were exceptional.

Ordered: 1 dirty vodka martini, 2 dirty gin martinis My Experience: I keep expecting word to get out about Bar 1912 and for it to become unattainable. As of now, it still seems like the valley's best kept secret. We arrived at Bar 1912 to the private speakeasy style entrance tucked behind Modern Manor. We were there at 7 PM on a Friday and were quickly greeted by a friendly waitress and were seated. Bar 1912 is an absolute vibe and I don't say that lightly. Charlie Brown's Christmas album was spinning on the vinyl they had displayed at the entrance and dim low lights carried your eyes all the way from the warm, all white bar to the fireplace. We had a one track mind, to try the dirty martinis that are not on the menu but the elite team they had behind the bar were happy to make. We were very pleasantly surprised with how smooth the house vodka and gin were and we were even more pleasantly surprised with the $14 price per drink. We abstained from the limited food menu with items mentioning foie gras and caviar. The tables around us quickly filled with mostly couples. Ideal Move: This is your next date night spot. Come before or after dinner for a cocktail and enjoy the music, vibe, and your company.

A wonderful blend of unique flavors in a comfortable, but unpretentious setting. The wait staff were attentive and welcoming, ready with information and great suggestions. Sharing of dishes is encouraged so we were able to sample the fire roasted dates, the grouper, the pasta, the ribs, and the twice baked potatoes. Everything was beyond our expectations. Save room for dessert! Marvelous creations, again, unusual, but wonderful blend of flavors! Chef Donnie is a true master when it comes to taste, texture, and presentation! Do not miss this gem!

Waitress was not friendly. Tried to rush us to order and looked annoyed when I tried to ask questions about the ambiguous (and not impressive) riff on cocktailsCorn sundae was good.

We went here last night to celebrate my birthday and bar1912 did not disappointment. You can tell they put a lot of care into crafting these cocktails which is anything but ordinary. The space is intimate and the music choice really add to the atmosphere.

Great cocktails, perfect ambiance, great bartenders. My favorite bar in all of Phoenix. Anytime I come to town, I make a stop at 1912.

Very nice bar. Staff was friendly, the other customers were too rowdy and had to be scolded. Other than that, great drinks and a fun night!

Great spot behind Valentine for adventurous cocktails, cozy seating at the bar or by the fireplace on the cooler nights. Didn't try the food but if it's from the same kitchen as Valentine I'm sure it's good.

Perfectly tucked away in the far back area of Valentine, with its own entrance even, is Bar 1912. What a charming little speakeasy bar with cozy, dark lighting and amazing cocktails! Go in there and escape the hustle and bustle of a very busy 7th ave and immerse yourself in the old time ambiance and escape the real world. I promise you'll keep thinking about it long after you've experienced it.
