I follow the NYTIMES pretty closely on many subjects especially when it comes to travel and dining. Only one time have they led me astray until last night when we visited Pizzeria Bianco. It was dark, dingy in feel and loud for people in their 60's. The menu limited and the entrees just average, nothing to write home about. We began with a crispy prosciutto wrapping mozzarella served on a bed of arugula. It was nice, not special and not served with care. We had three different entrees the Chicken Cacciatore-decent, spaghetti bolognese- good and the margarita pizza with soppressata which also was decent, certainly nothing exceptional or worth mention. Our waiter was nice. The dessert selection mediocre. Overall three stars and I wouldn't go back.
Pasta was off the charts Salad was lite and right And the pizza was al Dente And the pizza man( maker ) was so cool to explain to me how they work their magic w their ginormous Ovens and wood
Pizzeria Bianco delivers on the legendary reputation of Chef Chris Bianco. The pizza is superb, thin, crispy, with a phenomenal char from their wood fire oven. It just so happened that Chef was on site during our visit and thanked us personally.
The Netflix documentary has me pretty hyped to try this place. It was decent but not what I was expecting for one of the top pizza places in the world. The crusts were terrific. The flavor profiles were simple which is fine but didn't blow my socks off. I've had much more flavorful pizza at several places. The service was fantastic. I just expected to taste something next level given how I was introduced to this place.
I love the decor and ambiance of this restaurant. It feels like you are in Europe, not a shopping mall in Phoenix. The food was amazing. We shared a "white" pizza for an appetizer. For my entre, I had the lasagna. It was perfect, I especially enjoyed the thin crisp layer on top. My husband and son had pasta and loved it. At my request, the staff brought a piece of chocolate cake to the table for my husband's birthday. It looked dense but was deceivingly light and creamy. We enjoyed everything and will be back!
Everything was great. I am a big fan of wood fire pizza, and I travel thr country by motorcycle so I try to hit as many of the "famed" pizza places that I can. My son lives in Phoenix, so we made a reservation as I was passing through town. The pizza was as expected.. excellent. Not unlike many of the places I've tried. We got the Margherita (of course) and the Biancoverde (a white pie with Arugala on top) which was spectacular. I am very happy I tried it. Can't wait to go back.
We were excited to try this place. It was a special evening for us as we were moving our son into GCU for his freshman year. The food was absolutely delicious. We had the bolognese and margarita pizza. We'll be back!
Truly amazing pizza, the finest quality ingredients combined to bring for the best possible taste. The service was too notch, friendly, and welcoming as soon as you walked in the door. Highly recommend Pizzeria Bianco, so good. We had the Margherita and the Wiseguy pizzas along with a couple glasses of wine with cheesecake and tres leches for dessert. Exceptional!
Unfortunately, I left the bar after 20 minutes without a drink. The service completely ignored me, even when I went straight to the bar or picked up the menu myself. A short “Hello, I’ll be right back” would have been enough. What a shame!

Food was excellent but the service was disappointing. The waiter seemed more interested in turning the table over than actually servicing us. He balked when I said we were still hungry and wanted to order an additional pizza.
Got the margherita and the Rosa. Both delicious, Rosa is a must! Server and host were attentive. The water in Phoenix is not good I wish they filtered their tap water I know some restaurants do. It's not a big cost and it makes a difference.
Bianco's Pizzeria is world class dining. I'm a pizzaholic who is constantly searching for the holy grail of pizza. Bianco's is one of the best I've been to in 63 years. From the manager, the server (Matt), the hostess, to the excellent food, it couldn't have been better. I was in gastronomic heaven. Thank you so much Bianco's.
Eric was our server and he was great! The pizzas tasted fresh and delicious. We really enjoyed the Sonny Boy and Biancoverde. Who doesn't love a pizza with fresh ingredients, crispy crust and slightly charred flavor?? Yummy!
Excellent food. We ordered 2 pizzas (Sonny Boy and Biancoverde) and one pasta (lasagna). The pizza was excellent and the pasta was very good. The pre-dinner bread was some of the best I've ever had. Ambience was good with moody lighting. Drink menu was fairly extensive. Dinner for 3, including one alcoholic drink, was $83 before tax and we went home with some leftovers. I'll definitely be back.
