I’ve been to the Blue Hound before, twice. The experience I had at that time was 5 star across the board, and being in the culinary field myself that’s hard to get from me. So when I had the opportunity to entertain my director and a few colleagues to a lunch I decided to come back share the same experience. What a complete unpleasant disaster!!! Our ticket time ran around 30 mins and when our plates came to the table COLD, COLD, COLD. Our ticket included 2 steak and egg meals. Steaks where on the wrong plates and the eggs even tho looked to be perfectly cooked when plated, they were ice cold. When you pay that price I would expect a different outcome. Our service was not a standard that I would expected at a such a fine establishment. The atmosphere at the Blue Hound is amazing, it was the service and kitchen that needs attention. I was completely shocked, embarrassed, and disappointed. The server told me the management would be at the table to talk and discuss the situation, that never happened. The server then told our table that he would pay for my meal that I did not even eat. I had also ordered a single pancake that I usually do, to find the best pancakes in the valley and to my surprise lol, it was a decent cake, that was pretty much the only hot dish served. I hope this establishment can get it back to when I first ate here. I will try it again and do another review later, but for today, a failure. Get those ticket times down and let’s get some runners I’m not sure who was expo today but they need to step it up. Come on!!!!!

I go to The Blue Hound often and normally everything is impeccable. This was the first time that the food and service weren’t perfect. The sliders were absolutely disgusting, full of gristle and inedible. The manager did take them off of our bill, but the waitress didn’t even offer to have them make new ones. This was dinner for 3 of us, plus 2 small appetizers. We had to flag her down for anything we needed, like ice for our iced tea or the bill. No, it was not busy yet…..it was 5 pm and the restaurant was maybe half full. There was also some happy hour there for a conference and hordes of people were tromping through the dining room the whole time, instead of routing them out the other door and not through the restaurant. Anyway, it was a very disappointing visit, especially because it was such a let down from what we normally experience there. 😢 I don’t know if it’s new management or just the staff that night. This was Tuesday October 7th. Normally they would get all 5s.

The bar team deserves a medal for surviving the chaos—drinks were on point, service was sharp, and my bartender was basically doing the work of three people with a smile. The kitchen? Different story. Forty-five minutes later I was walking my sad little burger and wedge salad upstairs like contraband. The burger was dry, the bun was sad, and the wedge salad was… a crime against lettuce.

I thought breakfast might be redemption. It was quicker, sure, but avocado toast and the breakfast sandwich managed to be equally tragic—fast food without the fun.

Pro tip: come for cocktails, stay for the vibe, and let your stomach find happiness elsewhere.

They made everything so convenient.

Pretentious, rude and unwilling to do their job and every tiny ask is an Afront to the staff’s sensibilities. The atmosphere is awesome and the ambiance is nice but high prices for crap service is not my scene.

Absolutely fantastic food. We had the steak and eggs as well as the pudding bread French toast. Everything cooked to perfection, extremely efficient and professional staff, and a great relaxing atmosphere to top it off. Compliments to the Chef and the staff.

Everything seemed fine. Excellent place, highly recommend.

Noisy during happy hour so not the best place to go for conversation. Chairs at the tables were super uncomfortable. Coq au Vin was quite good and shareable.

We came in for a quick nightcap and were promptly greeted. They didn’t have many options for nonalcoholic beers but we both found something we liked. I would recommend just drinking from the can because the way the bartender poured my beer, there was so much head that she couldn’t pour all the 12 ounce can into a pint glass. We ordered something that was recommended to us and that was pretty much the last time we saw the bartender. When we got our sliders we took one bite and didn’t like them. They never came back to check on us so we couldn’t order something else to eat. After finishing our drinks we asked for the check and they took our card to pay still without asking if we liked the food (which we clearly didn’t because it only had a single bite taken out of it and was pushed away). We came to copper blues to enjoy some drinks and food instead. Much better service here.

There was only one server serving the entire restaurant, and one bartender. Bartender ignored us and then left for about 15 minutes. When he finally returned, he asked us what we wanted, we told him we were leaving because we had waited so long. He couldn't care less, and walked away from us. So we walked out, and will never be back.

Exceptional dinner at Blue Hound Kitchen & Cocktails before Ghost’s Skeletour 2025! Macey’s service was spot-on and Kyle’s warm hospitality made the night. Perfect start before PHX Arena.

We went to Blue Hound for a pre-event meal (Teddy Swims) and truly enjoyed our meals. My wife had the risotto and apple kale salad -- she enjoyed both. I had the blackened salmon, and it was outstanding. We both had a smoked bourbon cocktail--lots of alcohol. Prices were very reasonable and the staff was great!!
