My first experience coming to boycott.I was accused of being intoxicated, but in fact, I’m a type 1 diabetic and had a low sugar. I told the gentleman that, I don’t even drink alcohol. They escorted me out and then just walked away. Someone outside so what was going on she walked me to my car. I checked my sugar before leaving. I had an insulin pump on that showed my number for evidently these people don’t care.

I had fun at first, the DJ was awesome, the bartender was super cool, and in general it seemed like a safe space to hang out. However, the security person could have communicated their expectations better than they did. We were not aware that we weren’t supposed to smoke at the table we were sitting at outdoors as it had an ashtray on it. My friend was on the far side of the table in an effort to stay back from the door. We are not unreasonable people if asked to move, but the way we were approached was unnecessarily aggressive. Security came outside barking at me about smoke smells when I wasn’t smoking. I asked him if he was talking to me and he started turning up on my friend. He made me so uncomfortable with his behavior that we ended up leaving much earlier than anticipated. In the future, I hope he finds a professional way to communicate with patrons. We won’t be back.

I don't drink anymore however I have frequently gone here with friends. It makes feel like the walls are closing in. There are no windows and it just feels stuffy all the time. To me, it always smells like wet dog or something moist. Its just not my jam and I don't look down on those who enjoy it here. It's a great place to party if you drink and like the atmosphere. I no longer drink so it's pointless for me to go.

I went to Boycott Bar for the first time recently and honestly had one of the best nights out I’ve had in a while! Most of this was thanks to the bouncer, Toni. From the second I walked in, he was super friendly and kind, and made me feel safe and welcome right away. It really set the vibe for the rest of the night and you can just tell how effortlessly he does his job! 🤍
