Decided to finally try buck and rider after many recommendations plus we live down the street. Went on a Friday afternoon, minimal wait despite the crowd, cocktail service while we waited was also nice. We got seated behind the bar, within minutes we noticed it was a little hot but thought it would cool down. Never happened, we were sweating the entire time which made for an awful experience. Waitress was not welcoming, barely spoke to us actually. We ordered the trout dip and crispy tuna, it was just OK and not any better than that. By this time we were visibly sweating and ready to go. Not sure if we would try this place again.

Visiting Buck & Rider Camelback on National Oyster Day has become an annual tradition for my friends and I. Mike Murphy, the Executive General Manager, and his team, do a phenomenal job, especially given the onslaught of customers during this annual celebration.
The fresh pull-apart dinner rolls, crispy Brussels sprouts, dungeness crab wedge and Caesar salad were fantastic. But the star of the show where the amazing Rochambeau oysters. Being a native New Yorker, I love East Coast cold water oysters, and these were absolutely perfect, mildly salty and briny upfront, with a sweet and crisp finish.
Great job guys. Can’t wait to come back there again!

If you love seafood, or oysters in particular, there is no better inland place to enjoy them. All the seafood is flown in fresh daily and served prepared to perfection. Truly an amazing dining experience with excellent service as well. Highly recommended. The oysters are a must have.

The Rappahannock oysters were absolutely amazing. Best oysters I've ever had. The sea of cortez shrimp are incredible and the sea of cortez shrimp cevice is to die for. The service was spot on. I highly recommend happy hour.

He was so kind and professional and truly showed he cared about the place and his customers! Jake ( Matthew McConaughey look alike) our waiter was also wonderful and so attentive. Love this place!
