Family owned businesses, excellent staff service, Rada the owner, is very attentive, and very busy, you can see her in the kitchen area, and next minute preparing a coffee, and still makes time to explain and answer all your questions. Food is nice and tasty (mostly Balkan and Mediterranean), served freshly done, with prices accordingly. I wouldn’t say it is a fancy restaurant, but is clean and tidy, and you feel this familiar atmosphere around you. We loved it. Thank you.

Balken Café is an absolute gem! The food was fantastic—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I had the Cevapi and Kupus, plus dessert!! The service was equally impressive: friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The young man at the front was very personable, he answered all my questions and gave a great reccomendation. I honestly have zero complaints. Such a great spot in Phoenix, and I’ll definitely be back!

Cafe Balkan is hands-down one of the best hidden gems in Phoenix! The food is absolutely incredible — the cevapi is to die for, perfectly seasoned and cooked, and the burek is truly out of this world. Every bite tastes authentic and homemade. The staff is so friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere makes you feel like you’re enjoying a meal back in the Balkans. If you’re craving delicious comfort food and a great dining experience, this place is a must-try!

The food was awesome!! Regardless if you are your Slavic or wanting to try something new, you won't be disappointed! The Serbian hamburger with it's fantastic bun and Seasonings will blow you away! The cevaps are also a must try! Definitely don't leave without trying the desert that looks like a little Peach!!
