This was my first time at any cafe rio and I had heard so many good things. I was SO disappointed. From the moment I stepped into the restaurant until I left was such a let down. First, I’m standing at the order line for almost five minutes before anyone greets me and then has me wait longer while the employees are off to the side talking. The order process was awkward and the portions were tiny! If you asked for just a little more cheese, they charged you. You get the tiniest dollop of sour cream and everything tastes like it was bathed in salt! Just go to chipotle instead. Overpriced. Poor customer service. Tiny portions. Not worth it.

I think that café, Rio be more aware of the manager that they hire because the manager and that Location does not have a clue of what customer services and she doesn’t have a good attitude. She really made me, and this is the second time. By the way, she really made me Make the decision of not going back to that place anymore. With my family, the first time, and now with myself trying to Have her advise on Katherine for my staff. She was not helpful at all. And I think that before. Naming somebody a manager, you should train them better.

In my opinion, the flavors are better than chipotle. The tortillas are better.

Like Chipolte but seemed fresher. Big bowls, big burritos. Lime cilantro rice on the bottom then beans and protein and cheese, veggies on top. A nice addition were the warm salsas such as tomatillo and hatch chili. A lot of food piled up, but inevitably cold by the time you get to the bottom.

Great fast modern Mexican food. Kind of Chipotle or Costa vida style where you can order and put stuff into whatever entree that you want. The salsas here weren’t my favorite but the meats, rice and beans were great. They have a collection of signifier drinks including lemonades and horchata which is quite nice. Clean a space and nice staff.

Placed an order online. It was ready on time, the staff greeted me as I picked up my order, and they even called after I got home to make sure we were enjoying our food! Very impressed.

We were excited about the first three visits because of the atmosphere, excellent customer service, and the quality and price of the food. Our last visit on 10/21/24 made us not want to return because of the poor customer service, unfriendly staff, and inconsistent quality standards of the food portions. None of the staff welcomed or thanked us; the staff looked unhappy being there and serving us, and the amount of cheese sauce for the nachos was insufficient. When we asked for more sauce and mentioned it was not a problem on the last three visits, we were told we had to pay extra. The cashier referred us to the manager, and she did not do anything better. In fact, when I told her about our overall experience with our last three visits compared to this time, she was not friendly and said we had to pay extra for the cheese. She said that was fine when I told her we would not return because of this experience. When we left the restaurant, the staff looked at us and laughed. I guess they found happiness in our poor experience. We spent nearly $400 for our four visits, and they are willing to lose business because of poor customer service and the cost of extra cheese. It looks like we will be returning to Chipotle, our go-to restaurant for years before Cafe Rio; so much for the dream of spreading the love of Cafe Rio Mexican Grill around Utah and beyond.
