rotating tortilla cooker gimick makes tortilla greasy on two tacos 15 bucks ouch!! But Nice staff people,...regular chicken filling , ,mushy ,watery,no flavor .....,barbacoa greasy. mushy... too sweet taste with no pork flavor .....cafe Rio answers reviews with AI COMPUTER NOT REAL PEOPLE as you can tell by the computers response to this post

I had the nachos. They were delicious! They could have had a bit more meat and black beans and pico de gallo. I may mention it next time.

This store is trash the employees gave the wrong order out and then would not correct it this is bad business I'd suggest not eating here bad service.

We love your food, and come often however my wife and I would like to know why for the love of God, you have to keep it so extremely cold! We literally have to wear winter coats every time we eat here. We can never stay that long before we are freezing. I get it's hot outside but this isn't normal AC we are walking into, it's like a walk in freezer, and I'm not trying to be comical. This is on the customer side at the tables, maybe the workers and mangers don't realize because of the heat in the kitchen?

I got food from this location today and it was complete ass.

I eat cafe Rio like once a week or once every 2 weeks. It’s always spot on, quality is there, accuracy is there, portion size is there. I have 0 complaints with my order. I come so often the ladies recognize me when I walk in for my no lettuce tostada lmao. My actual only complaint is with the website when I order my food, I cannot ask for my tostada no lettuce haha

Special shout out to Elizabeth, I think that’s how you spell it, for putting up with my shit and still serving me with a smile. I really appreciate the crew here and ima keep coming back for my sweet pork tostada no lettuce! Thanks everyone.

I am writing to express my disappointment with the customer service I received during my recent visit to your location at 950 East Bell Rd.

From the moment I stepped up to order, the experience felt rushed and unwelcoming. I had never eaten at Café Rio before and simply wanted to ask a few questions about the menu and pricing before making my selection. Unfortunately, the staff seemed impatient and uninterested in helping. I was especially disappointed when I tried to clarify my cheese preference for a quesadilla—despite stating it clearly, the wrong cheese was added. When I politely asked to substitute it, the team member looked visibly frustrated, as though my request was an inconvenience.

What made this even more disheartening was watching other customers behind me receive friendlier, more patient service. I was made to feel like a burden rather than a valued guest. The checkout experience was no better—the final team member who processed my payment was dismissive and made it very clear he wanted me out the door, ignoring my questions and concerns entirely.

As someone who was genuinely looking forward to trying your food for the first time, this experience left a bad impression. I hope you can take this feedback constructively and work with your team to ensure that all customers are treated with the same level of respect and care, regardless of how familiar they are with your menu.

Cafe Rio on 5518 s 5600 w. Just opened,they get 5 stars from me. All the staff were phenomenal, I was greeted on my visit, and I was thanked, I was more than happy to take the survey. Dear Cafe Rio, first of all I love your food. However, tonight I ordered the burrito that I’ve been craving for all day! The sweet pork. I’m writing this review because I’m appalled at the price of the burrito. It came out to $19.00. Inside the burrito was cheese, rice and meat. I asked for a scoop of guac and sour cream, 4oz of the house dressing and 2oz of the chipotle ranch. No chips, no drink, no dessert. My grand total was $18 and some change. Let’s just say $19.00. I was highly disgusted with this. So I changed my order to just the burrito which came out to $14. Are you guys changing folks $3-5 for toppings and sauces? I’ll just stick to Chipotle. At least they put the toppings inside the burrito.

Have really watched the quality of this place degrade over the last year. Even the friendliness of the manager has taken a hit.
Plus, they're trying to copy Chipotle's infamous serving sizes now.
Manager and employees are rude or condescending to customers.
Won't be coming back.
