Dined Al fresco which was a welcome relief from the east coast snow storms our party had just left. Top notch food. Loved The Phoenix cocktail
I spent Thanksgiving night at Carcara, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious — every dish was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. The atmosphere and ambience were romantic, warm, and inviting, making it a perfect place to enjoy a holiday dinner. Our server was fantastic: attentive, friendly, and made us feel truly taken care of throughout the evening. The drinks were also a standout — creative, well-crafted, and a great complement to the meal. Overall, Carcara delivered a memorable Thanksgiving experience. I'd definitely recommend it for a special night out.
For a Thanksgiving Dinner priced at $130, you can expect a very good, and hot (!), meal. Instead, we were served lukewarm food we returned. The second time around, some parts of our food were still not hot, but warm. We didn't return it another time, but proceed to eat only a warm dinner. That prompted a 10% discount. We didn't want a discount, but a first class Thanksgiving dinner, for that price! A restaurant in a restaurant that belongs to an international hotel chain, the Sheraton, should be ashamed of such a second class performance! But we'll remember: “You get me once, shame on you; you get me twice, shame on me!”
Food and service excellent. Only marred by 2 different homeless persons harassing people in restaurant on patio and noise of traffic. Recommend sit indoors if worried about being bothered.
The first time going there for Thanksgiving dinner, it was a nice dinner very.. The coffee the latte was delicious love. The price. I will go again. Very nice place to go get a cocktail with your wife or your partner. Recommend it to go and enjoy a drink or a coffee..
Booked here for a business dinner with a group of 6 not having dined here previously. I was very pleasantly surprised as for me this was a perfect place for us. The decor and ambiance were warm, interesting and inviting, the noise level was low to moderate (even though most tables were full) so we could hear each other easily. The food was delicious, and I felt a good value (high end but not overpriced). Our servers were very attentive but not obtrusive. When I am in downtown Phoenix again, I will return here.
The food took a really long time to come out and when it did it was cold. The server was kind and talkative with us. The host was very sweet when we showed up a little late to reservation. I just think the food service was below average due to late cold food but this place has potential.
We sat on the patio and our server was Lily. She took ok our orders and everything arrived quickly. There was a group offering a sample of a drink and that added to our brunch. We enjoyed everything and were at the Ballet in plenty of time.
Such a lovely evening. We always eat here before the ballet and it's always wonderful. Service is top notch; food is good and the outdoor patio is gorgeous!
Food and ambiance were excellent. The short ribs with the Yukon puréed potatoes with this pistachio sauce were melt in your mouth perfection. We also ordered the hummus and guac for our table and the ingredients were fresh and delicious! The hummus had a nice texture and you can taste the citrus flavors with a hint of some blend of vautours spices. I also enjoyed the guac dip bc it was mixed with som fresh bits of herbs and diced jicama that added some crunch but also kept the taste well balanced. To end the evening, we had a lemon raspberry cheesecake that was light and refreshing to eat after our meal that was not overpowering or heavy. Ambiance was nice because of decent lighting and noise levels were low enough to make it a calm evening.

Ate here several times 9/3/25-9/6/25 and all the food items were good. Wait staff is exceptional! Prices are too high both food and beverages but paying for convenience.
Server Alan was amazing. Bartender was fabulous. Food was exceptional! Rosemary ham?!? Next level!
We want to thank Tyrone for his excellent service. Stellar food and ambiance, even in the extreme heat. What a blessing to have been able to sit outside in the summer!
We went to Carcara on a Monday evening while visiting Phoenix which we do couple of times each year. We appreciated the design of the restaurant from the pictures on the website and the menu looked interesting. My wife and I ordered the carrot-based soup that was fantastic and the Mole Verde Risotto which had good flavor which was mainly risotto and well prepared. The service was good and the waitress was quick to answer questions about the contents of dishes. The food delivery was quick. The restaurant business is a difficult business and there are things that owners can control such as the design of the restaurant and menu and things that are more difficult to control such as availability of quality ingredients and staffing, controlling the things that are easy to control should be an ownership priority. The restaurant was not busy and there were a large number of open tables, my wife and I were seated along a wall with a long row of booth style seating that serviced multiple table. My wife initially sat in the booth seating and I was in a chair. After less than a minute she asked if we could switch, which we did. I am a normal 5'11" tall and the seating was so low that the table was at neck height, I felt like I was at Thanksgiving and asked to use a chair from a little girl's room to eat at a normal height dinner table. Standard table and chair heights have been around since somewhere in the 1600's but somehow the management at Carcara designed booths that are at least 6 inches to low. The ownership should have identified this problem before the opening of the restaurant and fixed it but evidently have been subjecting diners to this complete design fail for over 2 years. If you have a constant supply of unsuspecting travelers dining at your restaurant, maybe you don't have to worry about repeat customers, we will not be returning.
Decided to try this place out for my wife's birthday. It was a consumer location for the plans we had after dinner in terms of driving since we live way down in the back end of Gilbert/Mesa. The restaurant itself was nice. We really enjoyed the look. But that's where the highlights stopped. We first walked in and the two ladies (one I believe to be a supervisor of some sort after watching her handle a lot of things throughout our night) were on their phones and one was sitting down when we walked up. No friendly hello or anything. We get walked to our table and our waitress, although kind, was not personable at all. She wasn't rude at all. But didn't even say her name and went right to do we want to start with a drink. I lost all interested and ordered a beer and the wife ordered wine. After that it took awhile for her to come back and check on us and this continued throughout the night. She was still friendly each time, but no excitement or personable experience at all. We both ordered food. Wife got a shrimp dish and I got the burger. Both were pretty rough. The Shrimp was basically a bag to plate type of dish with some added sauce and spice. Very plain. Not worth the $40 at all, Not even half of that. My burger, asked for medium; came out very well done. Dry. No flavor. The bun was even more dry than the burger. My fries were the only thing consumable. Now at this point, yes I could've said something to the waitress and we probably could've got some sort of fix for our dinner. But to be honest, I didn't even want to waste my time. I was more excited to get out of this restaurant than anything. We did not feel welcomed at all. There was no conversation with my wife and I when we were there for her birthday, which I did notate. They were kind enough to bring her some sort of chocolate cake for her birthday, which I do appreciate. But looking at it from just any other time of dinner, I would easily avoid this place for the $100 ticket. Very sad.
