I placed my order at 1012 a.m on Zing. Zing is now the only way that you can order in advance from this restaurant and it didn't used to be that way. The restaurant was supposed to be open at 10:00 a.m. at 10:20 a.m. the restaurant still had not accepted my order so I requested a cancellation which was also pending for hours. I then received a text message at 11:50 a.m. saying that the order was ready after I requested a cancellation and refund. The person on the phone tried to act like they don't know about the process and that they cannot refund me so now I'm having to send emails to zing and also contact my bank. This was a total waste of time that created a laundry list of chores. I used to always order from this restaurant on Uber eats but all of a sudden the service went totally down. So sad because there is no better African food in the city but I cannot deal with this level of service. I've tried many ways to order from them over the last two months but the safest option is to walk into the store and order in person then wait for however long it takes them to make the food. Advanced ordering from this restaurant is no longer possible without a huge hassle and them trying to hold on to your money to save a sale.

Dined here about 4 times, and I’ve always been so happy each time. So much flavor.

The first time I came here was last year, and my friend showed me the ropes. Since then, I’ve brought my friends here. Every time, so many people take out.

I always like to try new things but there are 3 things I always have to get. Fufu with whatever soup they have that day. Attieke with snapper. Chuck rice with chicken.

Their full menu is not always available. They let you know what they have. I’ve tried their egusi, pepper, cassava, and goat soup. Every one at my table would have their favorite one, so I can’t recommend one more than the other. Egusi is probably the most unique though in terms of texture and flavor. Fufu comes out HOT so be warned. We let it cool down a bit and it’s a lil less sticky and more manageable. Every soup usually has different types of meats and lots of bones (like turkey neck), so be careful there too.

Chuck rice with chicken. The sauce is amazing and the chicken is fried so well that it stays crispy under all the sauce! I definitely have some fufu with the chicken here too.

Snapper with attieke and plantains. Attieke is as unique to me as fufu is. And it has so much flavoooor. Snapper is a whole fish, fried to perfection. This comes with a mayo salad sauce type thing.

Their three entrees are usually more than enough for a group of 4. With a water bottle (they don’t do cups of water, I think), it adds up to be about $25-30 a person. And we usually have enough to take home for one more meal.

If you want, I also recommend their ginger juice. STRONG ginger flavor. It warms you right up. I imagine it’s great for my stomach after all the palm oil and spices.

Other tips: They got a hand washing station for hygienic fufu eating!

Man. I was excited to try this place. I went around 3pm in the afternoon. A few people were dining in when me and a friend arrived. I got the jollof rice. Oh boy, so the food took about 10 minutes to come out and all I can say is everything was old and I dont mean that day old.. the rice had cabbage and what I assume was pieces of roast.. these roast bit were the 1st issue.. they were definitely old. Dried out beef is terrible and it was so hard they it was crunchy at times.. the chicken was either made in old grease or just old in it self. Everything but the rice just tasted old and older. Claiming you making fresh food with part of it being old as heck is nuts to me.. this place cost me 27 bucks. As u can see from the pictures I did not finish it. They are open until 8pm so for food to taste old at 3pm is also disappointing. Maybe it wasn't my pallete but nothing we had tasted worth the rave reviews I read that gave me such excitement. I do not recommend

The food is so good, I LOVE the okra soup so much. I don’t like how the serving size is very small and the price is too high. You pay a lot of money for a small portion meal. But I would be returning, hopefully I can tell them to add extra soup next time.

Caribbean African Kitchen serves up bold, flavorful dishes that beautifully blend island spices with African tradition. The jollof rice and jerk chicken are standout favorites, full of heat and depth. With generous portions and a welcoming vibe, it’s a hidden gem worth discovering.

Visiting Phoenix, heard about this place from TikTok. I got the Snapper. That Snapper 10/10, it didn’t stand a chance. I also ordered some Jollof rice & chicken, & goat soup with fufu to go, I know it’s going to taste amazing.

Update: I ate the Jollof Rice and Chicken, delicious. I would buy that again. This is my 2nd time having Jollof rice, this one tastes way better. I never had fufu before, so I had to get use to the bland taste. I ate it with the goat soup. It was okay. Fufu maybe not for me, but goat soup yes. Definitely recommend this place.
