Carolina's Mexican Food - Cactus

I have lunch here often, its very close to work. Today I ordered online for curbside bc I just had surgery & am very sore.
I sat & waited after letting them know what space I was in, & ended up having to go inside. The gal that helped me was not pleasant.
Plus, I did not receive a side I paid for. Very disappointed with the service today.

I love their food! Unfortunately my order is rarely made correctly. I do not know what it is?!?!?! I’m descriptive and precise with what I want, however 60% of the time the order is incorrect.

My go to for Mexican food, I sometimes will even detour from my service route to hit up Carolinas! My favorite is the Carolinas burrito! Best in the business 👌

Real-time feedback. After waiting for 20 minutes for an order, we went to the counter and found out they had not started it yet. I had my wife and my two small children with me. It took another 20 minutes for the food to come out. They did give us some free guac and chips for the long wait. Even if you're eating in this restaurant they serve it to you in big plastic bags which doesn't make sense. Then one of my girls accidentally spilled their cup on the ground under our table. I went to the pickup area to alert them of this and see if there was a way to get it cleaned up. The shift manager looked me in the eyes multiple times, saw that I was waiting and never came by. I went up there twice and waited for 5 minutes each and he just kept looking at me but never came over. There are no adults running this restaurant. Every trash can was overflowing. Seems to me they don't care about interacting with customers or customer service at all. People were sitting around us that had been waiting for over 40 minutes for their orders and we all gave each other nods for the awful customer service situation.

There was a piece of plastic wrapping material mixed in with the 8 oz container of machaca beef ordered. When i called the restaurant manager to report it and suggest they use a date and time stamp to QC, the manager told me there was nothing that could be done at her level but I could call corporate. I tried to call corporate and there was no answer at any of the extensions. My message to the manager was that an elderly person with poor vision or a small child could unknowingly be eating plastic, choke or swallow it. I do not trust that their food wouldn't contain plastic in the future, so will not be eating there.

They literally do have the best tortillas.

Every time I order from this restaurant, I have to thoroughly check my order when picking it up because something is always messed up or missing. Today I paid just $1.50 less for guacamole and chips as I did for four street tacos and then received a container of guac that only used 3/4 of the way full, Seriously, so tired of this place and the children who run it.

Everybody in this place were the nicest people I have ever met, I heard about their food and really wanted to try it so I came after work to pick up some breakfast burrito. I’m so excited to dig in, but I wanted to write my review based off their service alone! She explained to me how they make their tortillas and everything is made to order. I found this absolutely fascinating. It’s something fast but authentic. I’d go here for the service alone!

Food is very good but portions are very small and I'm not a big person. Tortillas are so soft and delicious, sadly my veggie burrito i requested with Refried beans still came with whole beans so the whole beans were a little bland. But overall good food. Just order more of it than you think you need.
