I love the coffee and burritos here. It’s also a cool spot to have 1:1 meetings. Theres some outdoor seating with the majority of the seating inside. It’s one of my favorite places to meet friends and coworkers.

No atmosphere because the coffee shop is a pickup style coffee shop but there is plenty of seating in the same building as is a shared office building. The service is excellent and their pastries are mega good. Their coffee is excellent!

Average coffee. Been there multiple times in a row when I was in town bc it’s the closest coffee shop. All three days I got employees and all of them are cold and rude. No welcome, no hey, no thanks. They stare you down, like literally not moving away from the iPad, even after you pay, to wait for you to hit the tip button. I always tip my baristas. I used to be one. But when you make me uncomfortable I hit no tip on purpose. Weird vibes here.

There was a time when I frequently found myself in downtown Phoenix, which gave me the chance to visit Cartel Coffee regularly. Each visit was a delight, with their espresso, americanos, and lattes consistently delivering exceptional flavor and quality. The baristas clearly take pride in their craft, making every cup a rewarding experience. Beyond the coffee, the decor and ambience of Cartel Coffee create a unique vibe that perfectly complements their drinks. The stylish, inviting space makes it an ideal spot for both relaxation and productivity, enhancing the overall experience and making each visit memorable.
I really like Cartel Coffee and tell people that they do a terrific job of hiring because the staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. I recently learned how easy it is to order online and I've done it three times now so that I can pick up on my way to work. Yesterday, I sent in my order for an espresso tonic and a vegan mi salsa burrito and the online process worked great. I got their at the designated time and it was pretty apparent that the staff person had not checked the online orders. (It wasn't busy) When I said I was there to pick up, she said that the burrito wasn't ready yet and that she was just making my beverage. (she was very nice as always). As I drove away with my order, I discovered that she had not given me a vegan burrito and that it was still cold inside. I was too far down the road to go back and looked for a number to call. I couldn't find one so left a message online asking for a refund and didn't get a response.

This coffee shop was one of my favorite visits during a weeklong work visit. Amazing coffee and gluten-free food options (I loved the oatmeal). Oat milk matcha was delicious as well. Charlie was a delight to chat with in the mornings. Thanks for keeping me well-fed and caffeinated while away from home!

Coffee is over priced but I can understand that as someone who would rather try new coffee shops for the experience and enjoyment rather than make it at home. This Cartel location was absolutely not it. Everyone is cold when they speak to you, looks at you annoyed and the vibe is completely underwhelming. By the time I even received my coffee my entire vibe was killed. I Took two sips and threw it out. Is it that difficult to be nice towards people? On top of that then question me for asking my coffee to be a certain way and getting told "It is not going to taste good" Sorry but I literally get the same coffee order every single day like what was the point in even bothering to tell me that as if that would change my opinion. Instead I was uncomfortable and made to feel stupid.

I don’t normally leave reviews but one of the girls “Tall white girl with black hair” who works there was extremely rude for literally 0 reason. Maybe get another job that doesn’t involve any human interaction if you’re going to act miserable and have an attitude in front of people. I was super nice when mentioning my drink order but the vibe I received was so unnecessary. Thankfully this was a pit stop as I go to cartel in Palm Springs every single day and everyone who works there is the sweetest.
