The food at Chilte was absolutely fantastic! The salad was delicious, and the grilled fish was simply extraordinary. The service was excellent, making the entire experience joyful. This place truly deserves five stars.

We tried several dishes at Chilte — the Quesa Birria Tacos and Santa Quesadilla were definitely the highlights, and the Sweet Plantains were also really good. The Mole de la Casa was okay, but after having mole in Oaxaca and CDMX, it's hard for us to be impressed. That said, most people who haven't had mole will probably really enjoy it. The flautas themselves were quite hard and overly crunchy — even difficult to cut with a knife. The Carne Apache was interesting but not something we'd order again. On a positive note, the Poblanita Margarita with mezcal was outstanding — one of the best margaritas we've ever had. The overall atmosphere was a bit chaotic — it was loud inside, and there was a club-style event outside the restaurant with people leaning against the glass right next to us while we were eating, which was a bit uncomfortable. We had high hopes for Chilte after finding Bacanora underwhelming, and while this was a bit better, it still didn't quite live up to the hype.

This restaurant was amazing! The staff was knowledge about the dishes and the vibe was great. The summer salad was PHENOMENAL and the Apache beef dish had amazing flavor and texture. My only ranking down is related to the parking. There is limited parking and an event going on at the hotel. Our party had someone with limited mobility and we had to park across the street in an abandoned lot of a building that was for sale. The lot was not well lit and we had safety concerns.

Alexis was an absolute amazing server. Fun and entertaining and wanted to share the experience. Great recommendations on the menu. Nora Beef tacos are insanely delicious. Craving them again as I write this and the Shrimp Ceviche was unique and a flavor party on the plate and the palate. As a pastry chef I had to go for dessert, plum semi-freddio was okay. More of an ice cream. Save the calories for delicious cocktail.

We are in Phoenix for just two nights and definitely wanted to have dinner at Chilte. We had seen a segment on CBS news about Chilte and thought it would be a wonderful experience. The restaurant is cozy in size, very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable wait staff. The food is so delicious! The salad (no lettuce involved) was exceptional. Skirt steak was very good, the beef tacos were so different and delicious. The only downside for us was the NOISE LEVEL. Very loud. Maybe we are too old for this kind of atmosphere?!?

We have been to Chilte 5 times now and each time we are blown away by the service, food, and presentation. We ALWAYS get the plantains and bean small dish and whatever special meat dish they have (usually a pork tomahawk which has always been out of this world). This is one of those restaurants we consistently go back to for special occasions or just a nice date night. The flavor profiles are always something we can never find anywhere else. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for unique flavors and great service.

My wife and I had an incredible meal here. She had the tacos, we shared the mole, and I had the MSG chicken. Everything was delicious! We also had great service and the cocktails were fantastic. Highly recommend and look forward to returning if visiting the Phoenix area again.

Finally made it to Chilte and wow, this place knows how to make an impression. I ordered the House Sangria, Yucca Frites Antijoles, and the Quesa Birria Tacos with beef on squid ink corn tortillas. Every dish was packed with flavor and creativity. The tacos were especially memorable, rich, tender beef wrapped in those striking black tortillas? Yes please. The sangria was smooth and refreshing, and the yucca frites had a great texture and seasoning. Honestly, everything was phenomenal. Shoutout to Alex, our server, he made the whole experience feel like hanging out with friends. Attentive, relaxed, and genuinely welcoming. Only reason it’s not five stars? Just saving that for a future visit when I get to try even more of the menu. Chilte’s definitely earned a spot on my go-back list.
