Stopped in while visiting Phoenix and honestly don’t really know what to think. Another reviewer said it well when they said ‘the food was different but not overly delicious’. I was hoping for a really good meal after eating conference/convention center food all week and it was okay but just fell a bit flat for me. The bar outside is cool and the restaurant has a good vibe and service was good. Our favorite dish was the aguachile.

We were pleasantly surprised by the restaurant’s accommodating service, even though we arrived 30 minutes late, and the first margarita was refreshing. We also enjoyed the tortillas . However, the food didn’t meet our expectations. The green chorizo vampiro was tasty but small, and the MSG dish, while recommended, turned out to be a regular-sized plate priced at $75, which caught us off guard. The bone marrow dish lacked flavor, and the sides were lukewarm. Despite the initial positives, the overall quality didn’t justify the $236 (including tip) we paid for 2 entrees and 2 drinks.

Food was delicious!
We started with a few appetizers: Green chorizo vampiro and the cucumber dish.
The Tortilla on the Vampiro was authentic and tasted so good on its own! The green chorizo and cheese were mouth watering! Perfect amount of spice!
The cucumber dish was surprisingly delicious, fresh cucumbers with a little kick in the dressing. A nice healthy start to an amazing meal.
We did also try the Aqua chili with like skirt steak - I was not a fan of this dish as the meat tasted a little raw and chewy. However, my husband who is a big seafood lover, enjoyed this dish.
For our main course we got: Tocos de Birria and Mole de la casa (Flautas). The birria was juicy and had a hint of cinnamon. Dipping the toco into the consommé is a must! Perfection!
The Mole flautas were our least favorite dish of the night but were still good! The mole was just a little too sweet for our liking.
We were told the menu changes regularly, so we are looking forward to checking out new options!
Drink options- if you are a non-alcohol drinking individual the drink options were very limited! They did offer to craft a Non alcoholic cocktail but you pay cocktail pricing for that. This was a little disappointing.
The restaurant was also freezing cold! We were covered in goosebumps and were literally shaking. Ordered a latte to stay warm! The waitress was amazing and did offer my daughter a little shawl to cover up with.
Service was great! Food came out pretty quick & staff checked in regularly. Before ordering they checked to see if anyone had any food allergies: this is always a win for me as my daughter does have a peanut/nut allergy! Getting this out before we order is always helpful so we know if we need to stay clear of specific dishes.
Parking is $15 or free to park on the street.
Would recommend!

We made a reservation for the other evening - which was the right choice. We got the Blackpink for dinner which was delicious and the birria tacos. Our waitress was great at offering suggestions and talking with us about the Chef who had put together the menu. The ambiance is fresh and trendy - a great choice for a fun lunch or interesting dinner option. Pro Tip - park on the street since the parking lot is for the hotel and charges approx $15
A bit loud… food was exceptional and extremely creative and balanced.

Chilte Mexicano in Phoenix is a true culinary gem. From the beginning, don't expect the typical Mexican restaurant with the same old dishes. Here they dare to innovate, mixing traditional ingredients with modern techniques, and the result is spectacular. The chef's creativity is evident in each dish, and that is something that is immediately appreciated. Each bite is full of well-balanced, fresh flavors with a unique touch that really sets this place apart from the rest.
The atmosphere is cozy, but unpretentious, allowing you to enjoy the meal without distractions. The service is excellent - the staff is knowledgeable about the menu and makes you feel well taken care of without being intrusive. The prices are not the lowest, but here you get what you pay for: a high-end dining experience.
Although it is a little more expensive than other Mexican restaurants in the city, it is worth every penny if you are looking for something different and memorable. If you are a fan of Mexican food but want to try something beyond the conventional, Chilte is a place you should definitely go. 5 stars without a doubt.

I came here for my birthday wanting to try something new. The food is different, but not amazingly delicious. Moreover, the pricing is elevated for what you actually get. It was nice to try, but I don't think I'll ever be returning.

This place was amazing! We had dinner there on a Saturday night recently and the vibes were immaculate, the food was amazing and our server, Alexis, was a delight! She was so patient with our group and provided us with exceptional service! Next time that I'm in town, I will be coming back!
Parking: We happened to get free street parking across from the restaurant, but the Egyptian also has a lot (not sure if paid) and Chilte has valet.

Best food. Best vibes. 10/10 would recommend this place. I love the yuca frites and quesa birria tacos. This was my second time coming here, and I'll definitely be coming back again to try other items on the menu.
What an outstanding experience! We had a reservation for 8pm on a Friday night and everything was perfect. We were seated promptly upon arriving and started with drinks-I had a mezcal and my wife had one of their specialty cocktails. After getting our drinks, we split little plates of roasted plantains with a middle eastern spice and a small order of Yuca fries and both were delicious. My wife had the "Black/Pink" for her entree with shrimp, radishes, orange, avocado, onion and chili Verde sauce. Really good. I had the beef tacos which were unlike any I've ever had before served flat with the shredded beef along with a excellent red hot sauce and a consume' to dip each bite into. I've never eaten tacos with a fork before especially ones with squid ink infused corn tortillas. We had local Wren House beer with our entrees and they were great as well. Our server was Erin and she made our first visit very special indeed. Chilte was even better than I had anticipated, and we will be back. Soon.
This restaurant had delicious food and a cool retro environment. We enjoyed our server who was very knowledgeable about the menu options. It was a light, airy, fun, loud, and inviting restaurant with fantastic food and cocktails! Wonderful experience!
