Unique Mexican cuisine within a chic-retro environment stemming off the Egyptian hotel. The prices were very reasonable with a wide variety of cocktails. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, catering to my modified requests while entertaining my company.
Stopped in while visiting Phoenix and honestly don’t really know what to think. Another reviewer said it well when they said ‘the food was different but not overly delicious’. I was hoping for a really good meal after eating conference/convention center food all week and it was okay but just fell a bit flat for me. The bar outside is cool and the restaurant has a good vibe and service was good. Our favorite dish was the aguachile.
We were pleasantly surprised by the restaurant’s accommodating service, even though we arrived 30 minutes late, and the first margarita was refreshing. We also enjoyed the tortillas . However, the food didn’t meet our expectations. The green chorizo vampiro was tasty but small, and the MSG dish, while recommended, turned out to be a regular-sized plate priced at $75, which caught us off guard.
