Stopped in while visiting Phoenix and honestly don’t really know what to think. Another reviewer said it well when they said ‘the food was different but not overly delicious’. I was hoping for a really good meal after eating conference/convention center food all week and it was okay but just fell a bit flat for me. The bar outside is cool and the restaurant has a good vibe and service was good. Our favorite dish was the aguachile.
We were pleasantly surprised by the restaurant’s accommodating service, even though we arrived 30 minutes late, and the first margarita was refreshing. We also enjoyed the tortillas . However, the food didn’t meet our expectations. The green chorizo vampiro was tasty but small, and the MSG dish, while recommended, turned out to be a regular-sized plate priced at $75, which caught us off guard. We started with a few appetizers: Green chorizo vampiro and the cucumber dish.
The Tortilla on the Vampiro was authentic and tasted so good on its own! The green chorizo and cheese were mouth watering! Perfect amount of spice!
The cucumber dish was surprisingly delicious, fresh cucumbers with a little kick in the dressing. A nice healthy start to an amazing meal.
