“I'm a regular at this place and let me tell you: It's a cool spot. Homemade meals taste like your mom made them herself. Mamma Spencer, that is. A nice atmosphere, smells like vanilla burbon and is a comfy temperature. Very safe and alcohol is prohibited, so you know it's family friendly.Chef specializes in poached eggs on toast and chocolate milk, so I suggest you try that out next time you're there! It may not seem like it at first, but this is a great place to just go and hang out. Staff is friendly and feels like family. Regulars like me love meeting new people and sharing the food!“

“Being Puerto Rican it’s hard to find good food that reminds you of home. This food truck hit on all the right notes for me. This man has flair, he’s got flavor, he’s got spirit and he’s got the food! Absolute pleasure to talk to and eat his food. 10/10 highly recommend!“

“My sister and I had such a good yummy happy hour, which was also probably dinner. The best customer service. They treat you like a family. Alicia, the manager, was the best. She heard me tell my sister that the butter caramel cake looked yummy. So what does she do? She brings us one on the house!! I will keep coming back here, not just for a free dessert but because of the yummy food, drinks, and everything in between. The best place ever. Thank you, Arcadia location. Love you. 🌄🌵🐴🎯💯💃🏽“

“Just stopped in for the first time this morning. Wasn't sure what to expect. Wow, love the two I had, the egg, cheese and ham and the smoked sausage and cheese. I will definitely be back for more!“

“I love that Angel's Naijinp cuisine represents the rich Nigerian flavored.in Phoenix!. Coming from New York where you can get any type of food at any time, it is refreshing to see the ethnicity out here. The owner Angel , is welcoming and so warm. She allows people to sample before they buy. If they are new to this type of palette. The restaurant is small and cozy and reminds me of one of the personal restaurants in NY. Only. It's on the streets of Phoenix 😁“

“Tucked deep within the Hilton resort grounds, Hole in Wall BBQ offers a casual and inviting atmosphere. With its unassuming name and reputation, I arrived with high expectations. While the experience was pleasant overall, the meal delivered a mix of highs and lows.
First, the setting. Despite ongoing construction that limits parking and requires a bit of navigation, the space is remarkably clean. The staff is incredibly warm and attentive. There was no wait to be seated, and the tables offer ample space for those with mobility challenges. These elements created a welcoming and relaxed environment to begin the evening.
The menu is modest, which often signals a focus on quality. I opted for the Smoked St. Louis Ribs with grilled vegetables and fries. The ribs arrived fall-off-the-bone tender, a promising start but lacked the depth of seasoning expected from a barbecue establishment. The sauce leaned heavily toward store-bought familiarity rather than a house-crafted blend with unique character.
The grilled vegetable side was notably underwhelming. Composed almost entirely of onions with a sparse showing of bell peppers, it missed the balance expected from the menu description. However, the fries and onion rings were both crisp and expertly executed; a highlight of the plate.
It is worth noting that the team is currently operating out of a food truck instead of a full-service kitchen. This certainly explains some of the constraints in execution. I chose not to rate this experience lower because of the genuinely pleasant atmosphere and the staff’s evident dedication to service.
Hole in Wall BBQ has potential. Once construction is complete and operations return to a traditional kitchen setup, I look forward to revisiting. There is heart behind the hospitality. With a few culinary adjustments, this could become a standout destination in Phoenix's BBQ scene.“

“This wound up being or favorite restaurant during the staycation. I ate there twice and my mom ate there 3 times. It's much more approachable then Renata's but also has great foodie things, so I would recommend this to everyone.
The burrata with prosciutto, I had twice. It's just delightful and every component is perfect by itself but also together, it was a very well thought out dish and I enjoyed it thoroughly.
I was also there on a Tuesday so I tried the Seabass Ceviche from the special menu they do on Tuesdays and it was excellent, I had never had seabass ceviche so it was nice to try something different.
My mom did try breakfast one of the days and just raved about it. She brought me a potato and piece of bacon, they were both delicious. If you like bacon I definitely recommend getting it as it's really quite nice as it's pecan smoked and thick cut and cooked beautifully.“

“Great spot for some amazing flavorful food and tasty drinks. This restaurant is right next to Changing Hands bookstore and is pretty easy to find and plenty of parking. We had a reservation so didn't have to wait but it was pretty crowded on a Sunday afternoon. We had the pesto pasta and a large salad that we split. The food was really delicious, different flavors, and everything tasted very fresh. It did get pretty loud with the amount of people in there but would be a great spot for dinner or lunch with friends and good for kids.“
