Best authentic Mexican food I have ever had. I can't name some of it but the meat tacos and appetizer with mushrooms and cheese was delicious. I also found out after we left Will Ferrell stopped in for a bite. Don't be fooled be the outside, and parking can be difficult, just be patient you will find a place. Salsa for chips was also very tasty.

Such a good experience. Went for brunch and ordered the nuevos rancheros and they did not disappoint! Staff was super friendly and they had great deals for the upcoming valentines event for couples.

I am a picky eater, I was told their Food was to kill for. Nope they were wrong, the food tasted like frozen food to me. I got enchiladas with rice and beans. I like my food to taste fresh not made a day or two in advance. Yukky. I definitely would not be a repeat customer. I'd rather go to TACO BELL .

My go to Mexican Restaurant in Phoenix!! I am honestly shocked I've never written a review before. We bring every out of town guest to eat here, and encourage locals to check it out if they haven't been either. #1 priority is making a reservation! This place is always absolutely packed. Seating inside and outside is extremely close together, I'm talking bump chairs with the person sitting behind you close, but the food is just THAT good that people don't even care. Their margs are *strong* (prickly pear is my favorite), and the queso fundido is to die for. DO NOT pass it up. I love it so much I typically get the mushroom enchiladas as well. Portion sizes are great and service is quick. They have both indoor and outdoor seating available, a tiny parking lot, and neighborhood street parking available. You bet I'll be back again!

Best Mexican food I've ever eaten. I had to frequent this place about 5 times during my stay in Phoenix. The service is impeccable and even when doing a carryout you'll have 5 people pleasantly giving you a farewell. The tenderloin tacos are hands down the absolute best tacos I think I'll ever eat in my life. The chips and salsa are excellent. The drinks are great. I really couldn't recommend this place more.

From the outside Cocina Madrigal is very unassuming, from the inside it looks like a very typical Mexican restaurant but don't let the looks fool you. The food here is where the magic happens. In every dish we tried here you could tell everything was fresh, homemade and done the right way. From the delicious fresh salsas and guac to the queso fundido to start then highlighted by the perfect entrees. The tacos were the big winner with our group but also don't sleep on the massive burritos.

The food here is delicious. It's an interesting take on Mexican food. I would definitely say that the beef taco trio is the stand out here. I tried all the other tacos and even though they're interesting...not really game changing. Beef tacos are a game changer. Definitely will come back. The atmosphere is ok more like a sit down and eat but you're not trying to impress kind of vibe. Service was decent. Not bad not great.

OMG I love this place ! The food here is so fresh ! Chips and salsa are good ! I love the salsa for the chips ! They have amazing margaritas ! The enchiladas are good and dipped in sauce and you can taste all the flavors . Meat is really good and nicely cooked ! Never had a bad experience eating here . You can also chat with the owner and he's super friendly . Service is good as well . Servers check up on you and refill your water if needed and ambiance is nice it does get a little loud due to people talking and music playing but overall a nice place to grab a bite and a delicious margarita ! Can't wait to go back again !

This place is very popular, why we went. I enjoyed it but there's not a lot of places like this in the area, so it's good for this area of town, also the meat has a "sweet" flavor, very tender and good, but if you don't like a sweet flavor in pork or beef, I would not recommend.
