This is one of those special places where you go to celebrate and enjoy beautiful views. We’ve been coming here for 25 years. Our first date was here and we come back to make new memories and celebrate once in a while. Location is amazing, the view is great: we try to make it at sunset. Food is good, drinks are good, service is good. I just feel like you need the right company to enjoy a place like this!

The rotating dining room provides great views of the Phoenix.

The place has a great view and our waiter was very courteous. However my food was cold even after I sent it back to be heated up.
My wife's salad was missing the beads and had very little vinaigrette dressing.
My ribeye had a good flavor but him was cold as well as my broccolini which was very tough and my cream potatoes which had a good flavor I could have enjoyed had it not been cold.
Our waiter Julian was very apologetic and tried to make things right and the manager came and took care of our bill.
Apple pie creme brulee cream puff was delicious as was the coffee they brought to go with it.
We enjoyed the view and Julian made every effort to make things right.

The place has an excellent view and the staff were courteous and prompt. However my food was cold even after I asked them to take it back and heat it up. My wife's salad was missing beets and barely had any vinaigrette dressing. The ribeye steak had a great flavor but was cold. The broccolini was undercooked and tough. The creamed potatoes had a good flavor and texture, but also were cold. Julian, out waiter was very apologetic and the manager took care of our bill. The apple pie creme brulee cream puff was good as was the coffee. We enjoyed the view and Julian made.every effort to correct the situation.

Service was awesome and I loved the vibe especially coming when it’s sunset! It was lovely. The food was very mid for how much you spend. I’m assuming they’re charging mostly for the experience. Spent 2 anniversaries here about 10 years apart and I still didn’t really feel like the food has improved. Dessert is incredible though!

The Compass Grill was a disappointment. Celebrating a birthday. I get it, the revolving view is incredible. Even for the canine who was seated so proper this fine evening. The Brussell sprouts were amazing, Steak was great. Mash potatoes were soupy and served under the steak? This would be my first change, like a firmer garlic mash on the side. Skip the fingerling choice, as you only get a few. Broccoli looked like it was just pulled out of the ground with a foot long stem attached, perhaps to take up space on the plate? Score = 8 on ambiance and a 4 on the dinner. Try harder to not make it all about "The View" And create an unforgettable experience, with better food.

Great views. Descent food. Mediocre kitchen staff. Insincere management. Our medium-rare steaks came out medium-well, then after sending back they came out rare. For a $500 dinner I wanted to let management know. Their copy & paste email response was "thanks for your feedback". No invite back for a better experience or anything else of redeeming value. I'd encourage anyone reading this to pass on the compass, unless you don't mind poor hospitality.

My husband & I went there on our last night in Phoenix for a special dinner--wanted to enjoy the elegance of a exclusive restaurant. Unfortunately the only thing elegant was the ambiance of the wonderful views. We ordered the shrimp & grits-and the land & sea entrée (requested steak to be cooked medium-well).The meal was luke warm at best when it was served to us, the server took the meal back to the kitchen where they only warmed it up-making the steak too done for me.The server tried to accommodate as best he could however, I saw no need to try for a 3rd time & have them strike out again. When the manager Michelle finally came over to address the issue she stated "I understand there was a problem with the steak-my apologies-but they are redoing it for you now-my husband told her we don't want it now and we expressed that when we sent it back the 2nd time. Michelle's comment was ok-he will take it off your check🙄My husband & I just looked at each other. We both said to one another-we know he taking it off the check because we didn't eat it. So what was the point of Manager Michelle even coming to our table? She was really useless- she offered no resolution to the problem.

Food looks and taste good. My steak, creamed potato, and shrimp came out cold. When they took it back the recooked my steak, which took it from medium to well done. Great ambiance and views, but definitely not worth the prices they changing for this experience. The land and sea came with 3 shrimps. Manager Michelle was not very useful at all.

Very expensive and menu was wrong. If you are looking for a nice but cheaper dinner I do not recommend. Come if you are looking for a fancy dinner and spending $200+.

Cool experience and great service! Loved the complimentary chocolates at the end of our meal. Food is a bit overpriced, but you’re also paying for the experience and stunning view.
