This little gem is hidden and worth every penny. This is our first time having lunch here and now this will be a permanent addition to our lunch list. We almost want to keep this place a secret, or there won’t be any room for us to eat again.

Fantastic BBQ! It's in a spot that's easy to miss, but be sure to get in there and try the tri-tip. It doesn't need sauce, perfectly tender and juicy. The price is amazing!

(I would tell ownership that there is some room for an increase!)

The food was wonderful. The prices were great. Especially for BBQ. When I’m in town I’ll be eating here again.

A Hidden Gem for BBQ Lovers in Phoenix!

Cookin' On Wood is an absolute treasure! I stopped in for the lunch special and was blown away by the BBQ Pulled Pork sandwich. The tender, smoky pork was packed with flavor, perfectly complemented by the tangy coleslaw. And let me tell you, the side of beans is a MUST. They’re rich, hearty, and packed with a depth of flavor that left me scraping the bowl!

The portion size was generous, the service was friendly, I’m already planning my next visit to try their other lunch specials. If you’re in Phoenix and love BBQ, this spot needs to be on your list!

Highly recommend!

A true barbecue haven is offered by Cookin' On Wood. It's a delicious experience with the properly cooked meats and smoky fragrance. Barbecue delicacies for every palate are available on the varied menu. It's a great place to get tasty and authentic BBQ in the city, with laid-back vibes and pleasant service.

First time to this place. This place has really good food and really good prices. Chicken platter was moist a 10. The potato salad was a 10. Pasta salad is a solid 8. The downside is the bbq sauce because it's the same that McDonald's uses. Same taste, smell, and little plastic cup. I know this now so I'll use my own sauce, no big deal. The service is quick so I didn't have to call ahead and didn't wait long.

Parking: Park on the street.

Highly unprofessional.

I learned a lot about abuse in the workplace working for this company. Multiple chefs and the regional manager were verbally abusive. What an awful experience.
