A true barbecue haven is offered by Cookin' On Wood. It's a delicious experience with the properly cooked meats and smoky fragrance. Barbecue delicacies for every palate are available on the varied menu. It's a great place to get tasty and authentic BBQ in the city, with laid-back vibes and pleasant service.

First time to this place. This place has really good food and really good prices. Chicken platter was moist a 10. The potato salad was a 10. Pasta salad is a solid 8. The downside is the bbq sauce because it's the same that McDonald's uses. Same taste, smell, and little plastic cup. I know this now so I'll use my own sauce, no big deal. The service is quick so I didn't have to call ahead and didn't wait long.
Parking: Park on the street.

Highly unprofessional.
I learned a lot about abuse in the workplace working for this company. Multiple chefs and the regional manager were verbally abusive. What an awful experience.

Note on the door. Closed for spring training...
Quick, tasty, and less than 1/2 the price of other BBQ places. Had the combo (tri-tip and chicken) with two sides and garlic toast. Just under $9 including tax.
If I could leave a no star review I would! I went here and the woman at the register tried to BROWN SHAME me in front of some WHITE customers all over some condiments and 2 cents she thought I shorted. She followed me out the store then told me that she refused service after I called her out... I wasn't going back as I saw her intent to sha.e me as an insult to my money. I gave her back the BBQ SAUCE AND LEFT THE MONEY. This is for you who want to spend with cool local shops .. please I don't need sympathy or retaliation i just letting u know!

Restaurantji Recommends
If you're going to be closed for spring training for some reason, why not update your hours?
CLOSED during spring training! They cook for the team !
I came here because someone recommended this place to me. The food was edible only because I was able to cover it in BBQ. Both meats were pretty dry. No juices or anything. I'm not sure if this was due to my timing or if this is what they serve daily. I would've rated this place a 1 star if I was unable to eat the food. It was nasty and it wasn't good. I will come back and try it. Beans tasted weird and the potato salad tatse like Walmart potato salad, which I don't doubt they might use. I would not recommend this place at all.

Double cheezeburger was good, and decent priced. About $5.80 with tax.Hidden in a industrial area, and small parking lot. But worth the trip...
