I recently visited Deseo A Coffee shack, a charming, Latina-owned coffee shop, and I have to say, it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. I'm always looking to support local, women-owned businesses, and this spot did not disappoint. The owners, incredibly friendly sisters, have created such a warm and inviting atmosphere that you feel right at home the moment you walk in.
The decor is cozy and vibrant, a true reflection of the sisters' heritage and personal touch. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee is delightful, and the background music creates a relaxing, yet lively, environment. I ordered their signature chocolate abuelita latte, and it was exceptional—rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced. My grandparentsfrom Mexico came with me and ordered café con leche, some pastries, and couldn't stop raving about both.
What really made the experience special was the genuine hospitality. The sisters were behind the counter, greeting customers with big smiles and happy to share the story of their shop. You can tell they put a lot of love and effort into everything, from the high-quality ingredients to the cheerful service. Their passion is contagious!
This coffee shop is more than just a place to grab a drink; it's a community hub built with heart. It’s the perfect spot to relax, work, or catch up with friends. I highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area. Support these lovely sisters and treat yourself to some amazing coffee and pastries! I know I will!

I had the Tres Leches Latte and the Chicken Tinga Torta—both were really good, especially the latte. Cozy spot with plenty of outdoor seating and friendly staff. Definitely coming back!

Too long of wait
I went to try Deseo after a multiple recommendation from my sister. I ordered a hot Carnelita Latte. Once I tried it, it had no flavor. I open the cup to see if it needed mixing. So I proceeded to mix. It tasted like hot milk with a hint of canela. I don’t know if it’s someone new or maybe this isn’t a popular drink so it tastes like nothing. It’s been an hour since I bought it and only half the drink is there colorless and flavorless.

Deseo is one of the best coffee spots in Phoenix. They really take their time with each drink and are genuinely friendly to everyone. Also, I can be picky about coffee and theirs is RIQUÍSIMO!! Additionally, I ordered a breakfast sandwich the other day and didn’t wait long for it, plus it came with a side of salsa.
Definitely go.

This was a great spot! They have plenty of alternative milks too! The food was delicious and arrived quickly. The staff were so kind and helpful and just a great spot to have a morning cup of coffee and breakfast. Plenty of seating and parking especially during the cooler months.

The guy barista they had about 2-3 years ago was very friendly , and had the best customer service ! I recently went in and noticed two new ladies, the skinny barista and a heavier set cashier. I stood at the cash register and the cashier lady kept taking to the barista who was busy making drinks. Finally, the cashier came over, she wasn’t rude but definitely not friendly and for sure lacks basic customer service skills such as greeting and smiling.
I randomly stopped by while on this side of town and what a GEM of a place. The staff were knowledgeable, informed, patient, and engaging. I had lots of questions (hence the $12 tip 🫣) and they answered every one! And had the best GF banana muffin! Highly recommend!
