First time ordering, got the combo plate. Shared with hubby and it was DEEEELICIOUS! Rice was perfection, and the cabbage was delicious. It was hard to decide which of the trio we liked best! The curry is subtle, and so flavorful. The icing on the cake was the Jonni cakes! Simple, and just sweet enough to make your sweet tooth happy. Weāll be returning.!!

I just wanna say Iāve been coming here for a little over a year now I have seen a lot of growth in this business, they have never cease to amaze me. Food is always quality. Price is FAIR you get what you pay for. I see that some complaints about size thatās ridiculous order the large. Iāll always come back this is my dedicated restaurant. The owner and his family are so very kind, with an energy and vibration that really evokes care and love for everyone and the food they provide. Starting with the cabbage as a side, absolutely the best out there. Slightly tender, spiced just right and melt in your mouth with a little chew. The shrimp are plump, fresh and also spiced just right. Cannot wait to come back and try the chicken and the tofu (which are NOT breaded, thankfully). Absolute diamond in the rough of Phoenix and worth a visit to this perfect place.

Five Stars ā A Must-Try! Iāve been enjoying Desert Island Eatery for months, and I keep coming back for one reason: the jerk chicken meal. The flavors are incredibleāthe chicken has just the right amount of spice to make it unforgettable. The rice and cabbage are the perfect sides, and the sweet plantains round it all out beautifully. Every meal is perfect every time.
Beyond the food, the owner and his family are truly wonderful people. Their warmth and hospitality make every visit special. I just finished another amazing meal and, even though Iām stuffed, Iām already looking forward to the next time. Canāt recommend this place enough!

With every bite that I took, I knew that the owners took pride in the dishes that they created The atmosphere, music and definitely the company made my visit to this restaurant unforgettable....... Thank you to V Worth the wait, flakey savory slightly spicy Jamaican patties and a big ass Delicious Guava Limeade, def going back, hours are not traditional, however, I highly recommend, can't wait to taste another offering from their kitchen filled with delicious smells and a cook preparing food by singing to it, you can taste that love
