First time I’d been to the Duck in 35 years and boy has it changed! Average sandwiches (extra light on the turkey) and skinny pickles in plastic. Oh well, I guess nothing stays the same.

Meh experience. Line out the door for Sunday lunch. Was told it would be a 20 minute wait for a pastrami, a genoa, and two grilled cheese when I finally ordered at the counter. Sat and waited at a table by the door near the counter with my family; waited 30-35 minutes and heard nothing. The rest of my family (group lunch) had long since gotten their food and finished it by the time I asked the counter attendant where my food was. They had it sitting out for around 10-15 minutes and somehow failed to call my attention. Such a disorganized layout and manner to pay for and collect food. The food itself is overpriced fare ($32 for 4 meager sandwiches and 2 drinks) that one could make at home; matter of fact, one could make 10 sandwiches for the same price as two at this place by buying deli meat and bread at Fry’s. Not enough meat, two thin slices of cheese (I had to open it up to see if there was actually cheese in it), cold —come on, at least toast the bread to make it interesting— and bland flavors. Definitely an adult-oriented establishment with no kids menu. Won’t be back.

I've been coming here since I was a little girl, and its quality has remained consistent over the years. I absolutely adore this place—it holds a special spot in my heart. It's our family's favorite spot to gather when we're all in town. My go-to order is 'The Whole Thing' prepared the Duck Way. One of the highlights for me is their rotating selection of teas. They always have 4-6 different brewed iced teas available, allowing you to try something new almost every time you visit. It's a quaint and charming spot with an amazing outdoor atmosphere. I sincerely hope the Duck and Decanter never leaves Phoenix! ?

GREAT sandwich's and LOTS of other choices--salad and soup at great pricing. really crowded and the wait was about 20 minutes for our order--but we were warned! they do sell wine and tea and other little things to browse while you wait. We hadn't been there is 30 years, but they still are going strong!!

Super busy place on a Sunday. The staff seemed pretty overworked and the girl taking our order seemed exhausted. We waited over 20 mins for our sandwiches but were told about the wait ahead of time. We tried the Vermont and the Duck. Wasn’t a fan of the duck with the cream cheese or the cheese spread on the Vermont. We are definitely going to go back and try some other sandwiches. We loved the outside seating.

Delicious deli food and an array of bulk tea, cheeses, wine and more. Really enjoyed the patio seating. The location is off busy Camelback Road and surprisingly quiet.

I purchased the Fiery Sicilian and The Duck. I was a big fan of the Sicilian but actually did not care for the Duck sandwich. It's too sweet for my tastes but your milage may very. The atmosphere is nice especially with the ample outdoor seating and cool shop. The service however was very slow.
