Einstein Bros. Bagels

$5 for a small coffee and it was mostly grounds. Completely gross. Sandwich was tasty, will skip coffee next time.

I visited the Einstein Bagel Bros at 40th and Thunderbird yesterday and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. I ordered a caramel cold brew that cost nearly $6, but it didn't have any caramel in it, which was quite frustrating. My brother had the same issue with his drink.

As for the bagels, they were just average—nothing special. The service felt lackluster, and to top it off, the restaurant was not clean; the tables were dirty, which made for an unpleasant atmosphere.

I value my experiences at other Einstein locations, but this visit has made me reconsider. I've also reached out through their contact page to express my concerns. I hope they can improve in the future.

They people who work here seem unhappy. The only one smiling was the guy who came out from the back and hung over the counter with his whole body was only smiling at one guy who was eating at a table as they gave each other thumbs up. I'm not sure what that was all about

As an Uber Eats driver, the staff went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. This helps us with in-and out of the restaurant orders so we can deliver goods to customers more quickly.

While the food was quite excellent, the restaurant was filled with smoke, making it difficult to order and respond to questions. The staff made no acknowledgment of the smoke and its correlative inconvenience.

This was my WORST experience at any Einstein Bagels. On Mother's Day, no less.

I ordered online and drove to pick it up. I walked in to the order pickup area and saw a small bag looking to contain only 1 sandwich, so I assumed that it wasn't our order because I'd ordered 6 items. I waited for the male cashier who went to the same area bringing back the small bag. I asked, "Is this everything?" He replied, "Yes." Not convinced, I opened the bag to find 2 flat sandwiches and nothing more. I then asked, "Where are my sides? I should have 2 Blueberry Muffins & 2 Hashbrowns." He takes the bag and says something to the female manager wearing a mask who turns and glares at me with an obvious attitude by the way that she literally threw someone else's sandwich in the microwave. I don't know if she was pissed to be there on Mother's Day, or upset by something else. But, I did nothing wrong by politely asking for the items that I paid for!

Anyway, the cashier returns and hands my bag over without so much as an apology. I said, "Thank you, but please tell your manager that I said that you guys need to get better organized to make sure that customers get their orders correctly. I'd have been rather upset if I'd have driven all of the way home without my full order." Again, no apology; just a blank stare with a dismissive expression. So, I left intent upon placing this review. Which must also include the fact that both hashbrowns were burnt on one side.

All-in-all, this experience wasn't worth the $29.19 spent for my Mother's Day brunch. I definitely didn't feel welcomed or valued as a customer. I absolutely would NOT recommend the 40th & Thunderbird location in Phoenix.

Ever since they replaced the GM that was condescending to me, the atmosphere is very calm and relaxed.Always smiling, making eye contact, and being helpful.. I could go on and on, super group of employees!

Absolutely love this location, the morning crew with Joshua are amazing people. Always positive and happy during their shift. I come daily because of the experience I get from this crew!
