The hours of operation vary. You should call to be sure they are open. It says 8:00 PM for closing on Google maps, but today they close at 4:30 PM. For a small neighborhood business, it is great. The pan dulce is yummy and their variety is pretty good for being a small shop. This is a Mexican panaderia, so do not expect to find other Latin-American pastries here, like Salvadorian quesadilla. This is not a knock, in any way, I'm just saying in case that informs anyone's decision. A tip: if you want to get freshly baked bread, call and ask what time they put bread out. There are few things that can compare with a freshly baked concha from this place. Sometimes they take a while to answer the phone, but they do pick up. : )

This is a Mexican Panaderia. They are known for their fresh, sweet bread and Menudo on the weekends. The light rail construction is really taking a toll on their business. Don't be deterred by all of the construction barriers. Try thier Cochinitos to go with your favorite coffee.

I have been going here for many years and prior to the pandemic everything was great but something happened during the pandemic that changed with the pan dulce and it wasn't for the good the conchas are no longer nice and fluffy and I'm sad, seems like maybe they lost the baker. I'm afraid I will no longer make that drive to south Phoenix. I hope they bring back what they had that made them great.
