Literally one of the best burritos I've ever had. This was my first time and I'll definitely be going back.

This place is absolutely amazing. Best breakfast burrito I have had (bacon chorizo potatoes egg and cheese). Amazing carne for the tacos. The workers here are just down to earth good people. Try this place if you haven’t!!!

Is this the unchained Mexican-Japanese fusion chain? The one in Ahwatukee certainly had the feel and vibe of a family-owned restaurant in a great food environment. The family enjoyed it. It stays on the list.

The food was delicious!! I got the street tacos asada...I am not gonna lie I could have eaten more!! Fresh ingredients and awesome service. Stop by and enjoy all they have to offer. This place will definitely be a favorite place to go for my family.

Food taste is good. Is the portion. Very small portion and very high price for the small portion of meat they serve you. There's a restaurant called BACKYARD TACO I'd recommend you go there instead of this place and you will see the difference between portions of meat and low prices for really good quality food. I tried el Jefe a couple of times and nope always disappointed. No sean casiques ni codos con la comida sirvan bien bola de codos casicones

The interior was great. It was clean and everything was in order. The service was excellent. Two man crew but they got it done. the food on the other hand, not great. Greasy Quesabirria taco, not worth the price. Was missing flavor. The California burrito had way too much cheese and little meat. Salsas were ok. Felt very Americanized “Mexican” Food. I don’t think I’d eat there again, but wish them the best.

I walked into this place for the first time and immediately got smacked in the face by every Aztec and Mexican cliché known to man. Like I’d just stepped into the souvenir aisle of a border-town gas station. Posters, colors, patterns. It was giving “Instagram wants culture.”
When I arrived, the cook and cashier were mid-bite, chowing down like it was their breakroom, not a business. But I stayed chill, waiting to see how this played out. To my surprise and genuine respect, the guy serving my food actually washed his hands. Full-on soap and everything. That alone gets a gold star in my book because I was fully expecting the ol' “wipe and serve” method.
They reheated the food right in front of me like they were speedrunning a cooking show, and to be fair, the customer service was solid. Friendly, attentive, not fake.
Now, let’s talk vibes. The building is dim. Like “am I in a taquería or a vampire den?” kind of dim. The floors and tables? Giving tired. Someone please hit the refresh button.
But the food? Not bad. Actually good. If they gave the space a makeover, this place could shine. Until then, you’re here for the food, not the atmosphere.
Would I come back? Yeah, probably. But I might bring my own lightbulb next time.

I’ve had a better breakfast burrito from salad n go !! Today i ordered a bacon egg potato cheese breakfast burrito. The first half of the burrito was straight egg and cheese. the second half had some potato, but the thing that was missing was bacon!! the whole burrito I maybe got 3 little pieces of chewy chewy bacon. Tortilla tasted like it was warmed up in the microwave..
