El New Yorican - Puerto Rican Food Truck

Being Puerto Rican it’s hard to find good food that reminds you of home. This food truck hit on all the right notes for me. This man has flair, he’s got flavor, he’s got spirit and he’s got the food! Absolute pleasure to talk to and eat his food. 10/10 highly recommend!

I want to start off by saying thank you for the experience. The food was amazing, flavors were all hitting the spot and left full with full plate lol. Portions more than I could ask for and prices have been the same and low to me especially with everything else going up. Made me and the family feel like home and last just want to add that the customer service really make it all come together , A1 and couldn’t ask for more thanks again! Highly recommend.

Food truck ran by a very passionate man and a very helpful cook and helper. Both had amazing vibes and made you feel welcomed. We spent about 130 bucks all together and it was worth way more. Amazing portions for the price and that is an understatement. Make sure you all check this place out. They definitely should be in a brick and mortar with a line down the block.

You guys came to our community, The Cortesian, in Scottsdale on Friday June 20th. Thank you for bringing some of my hometown food here. I was born in Puerto Rico and grew up in the Bronx. The food literally brought tears to my eyes. El arroz con gandules and pernil are off the chain! The empanadas were filled with meat and cheese all the way through and everything was perfectly seasoned. Please please come back and bring some alcapurrias! LOL I would recommend anyone get in contact with them and have them come to your community. The food is worth it and so is the customer service! Thank you again.

Never thought I'd see a Puerto Rican food truck pull up in my apartment complex in az being a new york rican myself so when I saw it, you know had to treat myself with some food from my culture and not one regret was had lol food was delicious

Amazing food. The Cuban sandwich will keep you coming back and wanting to try the rest of the food that this truck offers. I would travel to get this food. The owner (Solo) will give you samples to try before you decide and he will treat you like family. 5 stars all around.

I met Solo, the owner over a year ago. Turned out we have the same last name and were both from the Bronx. Immediately I had to try the food. Oh mah gawd. I live in scottsdale and I found myself driving 30 mins to his food truck in Laveen. I spent months convincing him to come to Scottsdale. I finally got him to agree and I couldn't be happier. My apartment (huge shout outbto dan tropez) made it work and he's killing it. I dont care what PR restaurant in AZ you been to, this man is serving mastery.... every thing on the menu is an absolute smash! I couldn't be happier to have found him....and I can't wait for yall to read this and be drawn to trying it. From the appetizers to the main dish.... all of it!

Amazing food and service every time! So much flavor! My favorite is the Arroz con Gandules (the rice is addictingggg!) with Pernil! Pernil reminds me of a type of carnitas, but more of a garlic savory taste. I also loveeee the Rellenos de Papa! So so yummy and very filling! Their well known appetizer, alcapurria, is sooo delicious as well! Definitely something different when you first see it. But has a savory beefy taste that's a great starter! As you can read from the other reviews, the empanadas are bangin!!! You have to get at least one every visit! So addicting and well priced! Overall, you can't go wrong with any dish here. Everything is packed with flavor and it will absolutely fill you up. You might even have some left overs for the next day. Staff is amazing and always welcoming. They remember you when you come around and it feels so nice and personal! Give them a try, you won't be disappointed!

The best Puerto Rican food. We ordered rice with pigeon peas and perníl, mofongo with garlic, pastries, chicken skewers and alcapurrias.
Everything was DELICIOUS!!!
