Food tastes like your Nana made it. My favorite is the breakfast. I asked for eggs, bacon, fried potatoes, beans. On Wednesday I love their Caldo de Pollo (Chicken soup) Wednesday only. They close at 2pm on Wed so you can always get a to go order. Food is so good. Service is great, they treat you like family. Price is decent. The only thing is staffing might be short. So if its busy and you don't have time to wait, call an order to go. But if you don't have timing restrictions then eat in. Other than that, this place is a staple in the neighborhood. Catering available too. Stop in and enjoy. đâ¤ď¸

This place is a community gem. It reminds me of the food my Nana and Tata would fix. I highly recommend the Sonoran enchiladas.

Horrible service , waitress had a horrible face all the time and very slow for everything , food was soggy yes plates were hot but not the food and my grandmothers pancakes were raw in the center and we didnât realize until she was half way done . Never plan on coming back just hoping she doesnât get sick from eating the raw food

Just visiting asa beer vendor for baseball. Needed a late brunch HugeAssed burrito like Robertos at home. Close 230, i arrive 1:50, dude says they just closing kitchen, Rats! So theyre like âHey we throw something together and its ON DA HOUSE OK?â Cool Wow. So i got some green chili s and frijoles etc to go.
Gavem $5 for a cold horchata. Great experience overall.
I love El Portal. The food is really incredible. It reminds me of my motherâs cooking. Itâs so clean and the flavors are pure. She has passed away for some time now. It is always on point. Muchos gracias El portal.
Small restaurant nestled on the corner. Very clean. Unfortunately when I walked in I wasnât sure if I should wait to be seated or sit anywhere. After waiting for someone to acknowledge me I finally sat down but it wasnât long before someone came to serve me. My server was a young lady, she was not rude or anything just seemed a little unhappy to be there today. She didnât check on me but once after taking my order and serving my food. I was there for about an hour dining alone. However there was another gentleman that continued to check on me before she got around to her first visit after serving my food. The food was delicious and prepared fast. Higher prices than expected but for the amount of food it was worth it. Nice quiet vibe.
Nice little spot in downtown Phoenix. The rice was well seasoned. The beans had a smoky flavor to them which I enjoyed. The green chili was tender and had a nice amount of pepper, which gave it a different flavor than I have had before. I was hoping for better salsa, but it was not bad. The service was very good. The atmosphere was very welcoming and relaxed.
