I went in and ordered my food, then went to a neighboring store after they said my order would be ready in 10-15 minutes. When I returned they hadn’t started cooking it. When I got home there were 10 wings in the box instead of the 6 I ordered. That is the kind of service that keeps customers coming back.

I found this pizza shop at 1:50am when everything else was closed, he was enthusiastic to take my order and get it done past closing time. The kitchen is spotless and he seems passionate about the food and the taste reflects that :) definitely recommend the calzone

I want to give a special shoutout to the young woman and young man working at Famous Ray’s Pizza on Bell and 7th Street on the night of January 15, 2026. Even during a late shift, they were warm, attentive, and genuinely kind — not just to customers, but to me as an Uber driver picking up an order.

Too often, service workers’ energy changes the moment they realize I’m not there as a paying customer, especially on later nights. It’s been discouraging and honestly hurtful, particularly because I deeply value good customer service myself. I care about how people treat one another, and it makes me sad how unpleasant some people choose to be.

That’s why this experience stood out so much. These two were different — gracious, respectful, and pleasant from start to finish. They clearly work well together and create a positive atmosphere, even under pressure. They are an excellent team, and I truly hope management recognizes what gems they have in these two employees.

Maximus (I hope im remembering and spelling your name right) thank for the great hospitality and customer service shown in the late night. You called to make sure I was in my way and my order was correctly made, when I arrive I was met with nothing with smiles and communication. Famous Rays has been my go to place when I lived in phx and is still great after 2 years moving away. Keep up the amazing work and I look forward to seeing you all again!

Not a fan. Ordered 4 slices, while we were waiting the guy slicing food, somehow dropped the pizza slicer over the bar and onto the floor. Don't know if he changed to a clean slicer but I hope so.
When we got the pizza it was definitely a big slice but nothing special, super greasy. Didn't eat it all so we got a box to go box, ate it later and somehow it was absolutely disgusting. Had to throw it all away.
Not going to come back.

So after moving to AZ from UTAH the pizza there was definitely nothing not good at all even when business claim to be NYC style pizza. So being said as a New Yorker born and raised you know the difference between really good pizza. This place says it's New York Style I disagree. First off New Yorker pizza cheese is real cheese and Famous Ray's cheese isn't that and I can tell by the their cheese separating and it doesn't have that cheese melt to it. Secondly they sauce is to salty I mean seriously people don't call it Famous Ray's if you can live up to the New York Famous Ray's. I bet the pizza wouldn't look nothing like what I eat 2x and trust me I think that was enough. I think, I'll try the other competitors and hopefully I'll get lucky. But all I can say is stop cutting corners and I'm sure they'll say it's real cheese and I'll say show me a pizza that their cheese separates on a slice of pizza from NYC. Sorry but don't call it NYC Style and serve cheap cheese. BTW the dough is good at least...

terrible place. They lost the ticket, and after waiting 15 minutes, they told me to wait another 15.
