George's Famous Gyros And Pasta

We have eaten at George's many times, especially when we were a Value Card member. They have some great Gyros and at a reasonable price. We will be back again. Good food, good people from a local small business restaurant.

What can I say about this place that hasn't already been said? Wowza! I agree, majority definitely rules on this one when they say by far the BEST Gyros and Greek food in AZ! I am a huge fan of Greek food as is my boyfriend. Last night my boyfriend was in the area and decided to place an order togo. He got a chicken plate and I had him order me the pick 2 plate (I wanted to sample a couple items haha). I got Gyro and Falafels, with rice. I'm no expert by any means, however, I have tasted and consumed MANY falafel in my 42 years on this great earth and I can confidently say, these were the best I've ever had! Crunchy outside; soft, dense delicious inside. They were perfectly seasoned. The spices were pronounced yet not over powering and lingering. The Gyro was soft, flavorful and delicious, getting better as I took each bite. Omg, and can we talk about the Tzatziki?? Thick, yet creamy. Smooth yet a bit of chunks! Flavor, out of this world!! 100%, 10 out of 10 exactly how it should be. And they give you 2! It's like they already know you're going to druel while eating it and most definitely want more. I've been to places and asked for more sauce to help wash down the meal. If this wasn't a togo order I would have asked to purchase a gallon just so I could drink it. OK, maybe not drink it, however I guarantee I have numerous items in my fridge I could put it on!
All in all, I can't say enough great things about this place. I can't wait to go back and dine in. If take out (15+ minute drive) was this delicious, I can just imagine how it is, in house. 10 stars and I will certainly be making this my go to for Greek from now on!!
P.S. The portions are BIG, you'll have left overs. I NEVER eat leftovers and my boyfriend even told me to throw it away because it would end up in the garbage in a few days anyway. Guess what?? I ATE THE LEFTOVERS!! Microwaved and still delicious!!!! Oh and my boyfriend loved his meal also.

Always spot on. Always consistent, which is one of the most important things to me. I know exactly what I'm getting, every single time. The owner is always there and seems to take pride in his restaurant. Food is great. Huge selection too.

While his Gyros are most definitely famous, George has basically any other food you could want at amazing prices and even better flavor. Want Pizza, George's got it. You want Pasta, George has it. You want a burger and fries, yup has it. Want a wide variety of sandwiches, you guessed it, GEORGE HAS IT ALL!!! It's hard to believe that one place could have so many options on food, and have it ALL be phenomenal. George is often there himself and is very personalable and helpful. I can personally attest that you will not leave disappointed... as long as you don't mind leaving a little heavier afterwards 😅

I've been going to George's for several years, it used to be right by my work but I've since moved. I still drive past probably a dozen gyro places to come here, it's just so solid.

The gyro plate is a great value (and, obviously, delicious) if you're sharing or like me you eat less meals that are larger.

Why am i finally writing a review, years later? I want to make sure y'all go here so I can keep getting these gyros forever. :)

I always love supporting local restaurants and businesses. This place deserves the great reviews it has. It has a very simple but clean interior, but that's not what people are here for. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious. They have a very large menu and there is something for everyone, even though the name of the restaurant suggests that Gyros are their focus. Definitely give this place a try, even if you are not craving a Gyro.
