We honestly had no idea what to expect, so we ordered the combo, and it turned out to be the perfect choice - a generous spread of many different dishes, all served on injera, letting us try a bit of everything. Every single item tasted good, rich, and comforting in its own way, and we genuinely enjoyed the experience from start to finish. The gentleman who attended us was kind-hearted, soft-spoken, and welcoming - he treated us warmly and even called us “friend,” which made the experience feel personal and sincere. The food presentation and the ambience were colorful and full of culture, with traditional decor that made the place feel alive and authentic. The food at Gojo Ethiopian was very good – we tried the Gojo Combo, Meat Combo, Meat & Veggie Combo, and also ordered Doro Wot. Everything tasted authentic and flavorful.
However, the service needs improvement. There was only one server for the whole restaurant, and we had to ask for basic things like water glasses. The portion sizes also felt too small for the price. For example, the Doro Wot was $14 but came with only one piece of chicken and one egg, which didn’t feel worth it.
Overall, delicious food but service and portion sizes could be much better.
