Golden Coin Chinese Buffet

The food was a tough and limited to choose from witch I eat some type of chicken that not any other Chinese restaurant sells it was not the best Chinese food experience I ever experienced

So today on 09-22-25 my mom and I came to eat here. They Chinese lady who charges the food, she charges recieves money, gives change and at the same time serves food with out putting gloves on to either charge or serve. Also she saw her picking her nose and I told her not to do that. This is disgusting. Will never ever come eat here again NASTYYYY

This new generation staff are so rude this has been the 2nd time I go and I see customers getting upset with staff because of their attitude towards them shame on you this use to be my favorite place since my childhood but know it’s been the lease

It’s really not that good. Limited choices in the buffet. They have to serve you. No refills on soft drinks. I asked for water and they filled my cup from the sink faucet. I wont be back just because not that good of a value.

I've been going to the Golden Coin for about 50 years since they were near ASU in Tempe. The food is still good and the service although bit distant, but friendly. The reason may be cultural or a language issue. There seemed to be a few more selections before and they provided water, but it's definitely a place I like going to. The food is familiar and consistent. And still all you can eat. I love their sweet and sour pork, and on Fridays, their fried fish.

The options were severely limited about 6 in total and only 4 out of 6 were available.No orange,sesame or any other typical chicken except fried.i dont know what the other 2 choices were but you only had fried rice,lo mein,egg rolls and fried chicken as i mentioned prior.The fried rice had a greasy taste like the same oil was being used again and the lo mein had a bland taste.the chicken was good and the egg rolls were ok as well.it is but it isn't all you can eat because a guy serves you which is fine I guess but he was a little short with a lady I saw who was getting seconds.

While I'm generally impressed by decent food for affordable prices, the chicken isn't great, and I can't say its always sat well with me.

This is the OG spot. I have been going here for about 20 years now. Just had it last night and it never gets old. My favorite Chinese. When you get carried out, they are not shy about filling up your takeout plate.

Everytime we go there the staff is super freindly, the service is super fast and the restaurant is always humbling
