well, maybe not all the weirdos, or perhaps i over quantified my place in the weirdo spectrum, probably closer to pathetic loser that has no business seeking human companionship. i know even if i did overcome all of my obstacles and actually go in i would go and stand on my own and leave on my own and go home and cry and want to die, i probably won't put myself through that, but i guess i shouldn't ruin anything for the more average weirdos with my less than stellar review and i will toe the line and assume gracies deserve my highest consideration and alter my stars accordingly, despite any actual first hand knowledge. i apologize for any imposition my median assessment might have caused, i don't have any business writing any reviews based on emotional outbursts. i guess i am a man with a heart that offends with its lonely and greedy demands after all.
i wish i knew, i thought this would be a cool little dive bar to check out sometime but apparently it is the coolest most popular place on the planet because the few times i went by thinking maybe this might be a good time to check out gracies tax bar the line to get in going around the building made me think again. now i think i may never get in and it is just as well because this place is clearly way too cool for an average weirdo like me.
Had fun having a beer and playing a board game. Beer selection was decent. Seems like a good mix of a crowd too.
Bar tenders were a little impatient though, and the “security guard” at the door makes you lift your shift and spin to idk check for a gun or something? Weird way to welcome people in, and oddly makes one feel less safe when you start questioning what kind of place you’re in that feels the need to do that lol

They don’t follow the law about having 30 days to change to horizontal ID after your birthday
Service was terrible - The bartender was rude and dismissive when asked a very simple question, as well as other employees here. We were looking forward to having a new night out spot in the area, but we will definitely not be back. Service was so bad we didn’t even get a drink before we left.
If i could give zero stars, i would but i can’t so i'm giving it one.

Place is fun but needs some work behind the bar, always takes forever to get a drink on any given night even when it’s not crazy busy…but the atmosphere is definitely there food is okay would be really cool to get some different dis once in a while too feels like it’s always the same music playing, good beer selections too

Gracie's was kind enough to host some live music in the back patio, we particularly enjoyed Emby Alexander that night. The parking in and around the area is chaotic as you decipher a series of tow away zones from the nearby businesses. Fortunately, we scored some street parking across from the venue which required us to play Frogger on 7th avenue. We saw an empty lot just north which may be less dangerous to access. I felt sorry for anyone living in the neighborhood considering the parking shenanigans. Once inside I couldn't help but feel Gracie's is a larger version in size of the Tiki Lounge complete with the misfits of Phoenix but who accept credit cards as payment. Cash is still king. If you're looking for people watching and fried pickles then Gracie's is the spot. Also expect to show your ID at the door, no exceptions.

They charge $10 on top of your purchase to start a tab, and do not disclose this until you notice the extra charge. This is dishonest and poor business practice

The only thing you can say about Gracie's is it's Gracie's. It has its own unique vibe and atmosphere.

Super cool story about Post Malone on social media showing up at Tax Bar. I think it’s worth going home for a visit to Arizona!
10/10, very relaxed and comfortable, definitely one of my favorite bars
