NOT AN ACTUAL ICE CREAM STORE

Gelato! Gelato!! Gelato!!!There's nothing better than a cup of this cold, sweet treat after browsing around the La Grande Orange Grocery. My tongue was on the hunt for something peanut-buttery and rich, and wow did the peanut butter cookie gelato from Grateful Spoon satisfy. Yum!~ The gelato texture was perfect - thick and creamy - and the bits of cookie throughout gave a nice crunch and chew. The serving size was generous and, when paying with cash, this cup of gold was less than $5. You can bet I'll be back to try another scoop! Because they also make cakes, pies, cookies and other treats, expect some cool flavor mashups. I'd love to see a red velvet cake gelato!

Let me start by saying that my review is based on the product alone and not the service; the young ladies that assisted me, were great. With that being said, the Gelato freezer was down, so they had limited flavors available in a smaller freezer (probably around 12 - 15); I purchased the "Smores" and "Espresso" flavors. First, the texture was more ice cream than gelato, which was a disappointing start. The Smores flavor was okay, nothing special; the Espresso flavor on the other hand, was just bland. It was seriously lacking in flavor and looked like someone had pulled one shot of espresso and drowned it in milk; it had more of a slightly yellow/cream color.I understand they they typically carry many other flavors; all I can say, is that I hope they are much better than what I experienced.

Went here with the wife after dinner. The staff was super friendly and nice. We tried some samples and enjoyed their recommendations. The gelato ice was tasty.

Absolutely delicious gelato! And what a great community focused business. Our spiritual center was so happy that Grateful Spoon was the featured dessert for our fundraiser.

As a newbie to PHX from NYC the location is confusing. The small signage is in the back. It's actually located inside Le Grande Orange Grocery. Le Grande Orange Grocery has a cool, laid back, hipster vibe which reminded me of my neighborhood in Brooklyn. As I entered the place I saw all the bake goods, food menu, the pizzeria, and all the other fun non food items in the storefront that I almost forgot I went there for gelato. I'll be back for sure for food and of course, more gelato. Btw, the artisanal gelato. YUM! I ordered the coconut and amarena cherry. Also, my ears would like to thank you for the hip beats. Not sure if it was an employee's playlist or station, I think I was the only one dancing outside.

Never had mochi before. It was awesome! It's like ice cream you can hold!! It's delicious.

I really enjoyed the raspberry and kiwi sorbets on my last visit. The kiwi reminded me of the kiwi gelato I got in Italy in college. The fruit flavors were punched up and were fresh, tart, and just sweet enough. All in all, the sorbets are super authentic and tasty.

I've never been to this location before. I couldn't find the entrance to get the gelato because it wasn't marked. I went around behind and saw a sign but it appeared to be their back room. I walked up and down before I realized it was one big open concept on the inside. Once I approached the counter I saw the gelato and stood there for a while. All of the workers were very busy and no one acknowledged me. Even after I made eye contact with the woman at the cash register next to the gelato. there are so many cash registers and people that I didnt even know who was in charge of the gelato. I felt very uncomfortable and just walked out.
