I decided it was time to check out this local Chinese restaurant. I heard great things about it and it's not too far away from home, so today was the day.
I decided to try the #14 as I love sweet and sour pork and cashew chicken. It comes with fried rice and a chicken egg roll. I decided to try out their 8 pc cheese puffs too and made it to go.
The counter lady was very nice, helpful and friendly. On the receipt it says her name is Yamilen. The time of day was at 3:46 p.m. so the lunch crowd had mostly left but the dinner crowd hadn't arrived yet and they got right on it and I probably received it within 7 minutes.
Very generous servings, and have dinner tomorrow too. I can honestly say this was the best egg roll ever and will definitely be getting these again. The pork was tender as well as the chicken. Only $12.59 for the meal and the 8 cheese puffs were $6.99. A bargain. It looks like I've found myself a new favorite Chinese restaurant. Awesome!

Sad food/
Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with my takeout order from Happy Food Chinese.
I ordered the orange chicken and received what looked like dry, beer-battered chicken with a watered-down sauce on the side. The white rice was bland and lacked the aroma and flavor you typically expect from freshly made rice.
I also ordered a combo Mongolian beef, which was strange — the beef was heavily coated in flour or cornstarch and completely drowned in sauce. The kung pao chicken was soupy and missing the traditional chilies and vegetables that define the dish. Even the fried rice tasted like plain rice mixed with soy sauce.
The food was prepared very quickly, which made me wonder if everything was pre-made and sitting out rather than cooked fresh. Overall, the quality suggested a lack of care and pride in the kitchen.
Too bad — this was not the experience I was hoping for.

I found them on a TikTok review, I drove 30 minutes and I must say it was definitely worth it. It’s hard finding good Chinese food in Phoenix. This is my new favorite spot!!

The food isn’t the same! The rice bowls are so nasty we ordered 4 rice bowls 2 beef and 2 chicken and it was dry and the beef smelled weird and looked and it was dry there is no more love in the food don’t waste your money yall I have them 3 chances and all 3 are just gross and nasty
Today, I chose to dine at Happy Food, a Chinese fast food restaurant. I intended to visit this establishment, which has been a fixture in South Phoenix for many years, and has consistently served as a favorite among local residents. My servers today were Yami and Jacqueline, both of whom demonstrated professionalism and were very welcoming upon my arrival. The atmosphere was tranquil and well-maintained. Restrooms are available for patrons. Their prices are quite affordable. If you are in the mood for excellent Chinese cuisine, I highly recommend stopping by Happy Food to savor some truly delightful dishes. Thank you, Happy Food, for providing such delicious meals and for employing such dedicated staff.

So disgusting. The chicken tasted rotten and I couldn't eat it. If you ever left chicken out and it gets they nasty smell that's exactly what it taste like. I didn't even finish the food. I only went here because I was waiting for my clothes to get done at a laundromat next to it.

Every time I come here, me and my families belly’s are always full and happy. I can call in my order or walk in and order, both are fast services. The meals are always in good portion sizes and come out hot and delicious. Happy foods always hits the spot!

The owner (small older lady) was absolutely rude and racist. Not to mention, this place needs a DEEP cleaning. I'll never spend my money here again.
Something has definitely changed over the years. I used to come here with my father, and it was always a great experience—good food, good vibes. This time, though, it just felt like something was missing. The flavors didn’t hit the same, and I honestly didn’t enjoy the rice at all. It’s disappointing when a place you once loved doesn’t live up to the memory.
Outside with a lot of commotion, I thought it was gonna be a shooting with a lady fighting with a guy in the parking lot. It was crazy.
