First time in to Hap's, the food was decent, the staff were fabulously friendly and knowledgeable, and the restaurant itself was super clean.
Ham: I normally do a smoked holiday ham instead of turkey every year, expected this to blow mine out of the water, it was just ok. The texture was fine, it was clearly fresh protein, I just didn't care for the flavor that the pecan infused the meat with. ☆☆☆
Chicken: Tender, moist, a slight char on the flesh, very palatable texture contrast overall. ☆☆☆ ½
Sauce: I believe the standard sauce is some sort of apple vinegar based "mop" sauce, very thin. I really didn't like it to begin with, but as I progressed from the ham to the chicken it grew on me. ☆☆☆
Overall I'd go back since I work in the area, maybe I'll try the brisket next time and see if they have a different sauce.

Phoenix staple with tasty meats and sides. I've been going here for 25 years, back when they had a food truck by the airport. Worth a stop for quick and delicious BBQ. Get the beans.
Absolute garbage should close as soon as possible and cut your losses. $2.99 for a square of complete crap cornbread, make an effort. Not many people know about rib tips but these were the worst I ever had. Dry, they warn you about being sauced ahead of time, that is to cover up that they are old and dry!!! I mean crappy dry from the fridge to the warmer adsauce and away you go, enjoy your crap. You as a business should be ashamed of calling yourself a BBQ restaurant. Next time you need $80.00 for crap BBQ please don't call me. Good Luck!!!😡😣😣

I ordered the combo ribs and chicken..Re-warmed ribs that were juicy but lacked flavor. Sauce was watery. Very meaty but really missed as they were kept falling off the bone to have little to no chew. Chicken very moist and tender but I could not eat the skin as it was greasy and unappealing. Garlic mashed in Styrofoam cup was good.

This is by far one of my FAVORITE places! They need a bigger place now! Or they could open another place in the west valley or Peoria or Glendale! You guys are Amazing! You should sell me a franchise!

Are you an organ donor? If you said yes. Then plan on donating an organ to take a family of 5 out to this place. Food is the best I have had in Phoenix, but their prices don’t even come close to the food being that good. All I can say is, enjoy. Best place in Phoenix for bbq. But plan on losing a kidney or a second mortgage on your house, especially if you add the small severely over priced desserts. If you add ice cream to those delicious cobblers, plan on signing over your first born child.
