Atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect from a midtown cocktail bar, nice downtempo music, dimly lit, fragrances to spark the imagination. Tge Back bar looked stellar but i went for the cocktail menu. Two perfectly balanced tequila coctails. The first was the Tokyo Drift, second name is escaping me. Hostess was great on first drink orders but after that, a little less attentive than desired. The elote flavored popcorn was stale and will be a hard pass on future trips. In their defense, i dont think Highball handles the food. Will definitely go back.

Mitch is one of the best mixologists I’ve met in a while! I love his knowledge and he was so helpful when my husband and I came in indecisive. The atmosphere is a vibe and his general know-how made it even better. Ben&Jerry’s chunky monkey I’ve cream was always a child fav of mine and to have a crafted a cocktail on the menu specifically for it was a pleasant surprise for the evening. I could literally drink it in a pint glass. The rest of the staff were so kind and helpful. Will definitely return!

Almost lost hope in the perfect cocktail spot…until. Highball! Mitch was fantastic. Staff was welcoming and embracing. The bar is dark, candle lit and elusive. Perfect solo or date night. Cocktails are special. I mean special in tailored, crafted and loved, discussed librations with Mitch. Tailored my taste perfectly. Offered his recommendations respectfully. Great area recommendations too. The popcorn..top 3. Thank you Highball. See you tomorrow night.

The service was second to none, and the cocktails were incredible. The best thing is that you don't kicked out after 90 minutes like most other cocktail bars in the Phoenix area. Not sure why that's a thing here.
We enjoyed our visit to this dark, cool vibey bar. Our server helped us choose drinks that matched our taste preferences. Loved Goose Chase and Down in Kokomo. Perfect date-night spot. The only knock was the noise from the street traffic outside. Otherwise, I highly recommend Highball if you are looking for a chill, creative cocktail bar.

This place is a completely horrible with awful drinks and long wait times. They advertise “high-end” curated drinks, but what you actually get is an unbalanced, citrus-heavy mess that barely resembles what’s listed on the menu. The so-called “speakeasy” vibe is laughable—it’s way too big and lacks any sense of intimacy. To top it off, the service is abysmal. We were five minutes past the grace period for our reservation, and instead of accommodating us, the manager (who was also the host) blatantly ignored us and seated every walk-in before us. The level of disregard for customers is astounding. With so many truly great bars in Phoenix that offer better drinks, atmosphere, and service, there is absolutely no reason to waste your time or money here. Avoid at all costs. Met some friends for drinks on an early Friday evening. The drinks were amazing and the staff was super attentive, informative on the menu, and friendly. I would highly recommend making a reservation unless just stopping in to sit at the bar. I had the Goose Chase and In Good Company and would recommend both, super delicious.

We had a good experience at Highball for date night! It's a great date night spot! The drink menu is quite large, a lot of flavors for any kind of drink. We had two drinks and both were very flavorful! The service was quick, pleasant, and attentive! Oh! And the music was good- it was played at a moderate level, so it was easy to hear the person across from me! I will definitely be going back!
