This is my boyfriend and I’s go to for any dinner celebration together! We have never had a bad experience here and the food is always phenomenal. Today we went for a late Valentine’s dinner and our server Kassidy was phenomenal. Thank you so much for always making our experience so special!

I have been a huge fan of Houston’s and Hillstone for 30+ years. Lately I feel all they do is say what they CAN’T do..can’t take reservations for parties over 4- can’t seat yourself at the bar and now can’t buy an appetizer for someone. I called to buy an appetizer for someone going in to eat tonight with a reservation. I was told no- we can’t accommodate that - why?! In what world is that too difficult? Get over yourselves- you are in the service industry so you may want to go back and think about what great service looks like……. Super disappointing.

Expensive for what you get - $25 for a sandwich and it wasn't big. Great dining experience with exemplary table service. Maya was on her game.

Very bad service. The food was good, and that’s the reason we came—because of the reviews. When we arrived, we were welcomed nicely, but the problem was with the waitresses. One of them, named Madison, was a bit rude and arrogant. I went with my friend, and we both felt that we were looked at very badly, in a way that felt like racism.

I have lived in this country for more than 15 years, I own beauty spa businesses, I have traveled and visited many places, but I have never felt so poorly treated as I did here, with that sense of racism for not being American.

My complaint is specifically about the waitresses, as they are there to provide a good experience and good service—not to make customers feel uncomfortable.

A reminder: it does not matter if you are Latina or from another country; the treatment should be the same for everyone.

Best service I have had in ages! The veggie burger was absolutely delicious. And the ambiance was impeccable for a Monday night.

I do not recommend visiting this place, they run you immediately after eating, without having ordered dessert or the last drink they invite you to retire to the patio! It was getting too cold, we couldn't even order the last margarita

Really solid place with great atmosphere and excellent service. Food was decent overall and would probably return if I am in the area. The beef sandwich wasn’t quite as good as promoted but tasty. Cole slow was excellent and I enjoyed the deviled eggs and chicken salad.

I would go to Hillstone for special occasions and safe to say they never disappoint but the food is so good I’d go back every week, pressed sushi and shrimp coconut are my favorite, I also tried the steak with the fries, hamburger and the french dip all chef’s kiss. Staff is always kind and friendly

I finally visited Hillstone after living right across the street for several years. The wait was always so long that I eventually gave up trying but I finally made it in.

One thing to note right away: every time I’ve gone inside, it’s been extremely loud. The energy is high, but it can definitely make conversation harder if you’re looking for a quieter dining experience. For appetizers, we ordered the Spinach & Artichoke Dip and the Smoked Salmon. They were good, but honestly just okay. Tasty, but nothing particularly memorable. The wood-fired rotisserie chicken was amazing ! The dish was flavorful, chicken was perfectly cooked. The prime French dip was also excellent and very satisfying.

Cocktail-wise, the selection is fairly limited, and they don’t make custom cocktails upon request. That can be a downside if you’re craving something specific or more creative.

Overall, the experience was good. While it’s loud and the appetizers didn’t wow me, the entrées were strong enough that I’d return to try different menu items and drinks at another time.

This place always kill it. The burger was on point. The quick delivery of my drinks was the fastest I have ever had at a sit down restaurant.

Good was fair in quality and quantity, smallest water glasses, missing items on 3/4 items and overpriced meals. Save your money and don’t bother

I’ve been to Hillstone maybe 15 times, I also visit the sister locations in California. Often times I feel as though I’m being judged based on my appearance. I don’t go wearing cut off shorts and a sports bra either but I do have lots of tattoos. I’ve had other friends with the same appearance be treated the same as well. There seems to be a lack of professionalism at the front when I arrive most times. Once we get sat(I always make a reservation) I often feel that some of the waitstaff is being held hostage… it’s always a weird awkward encounter that feels very forced. I prefer a more human experience from waitstaff. I will still dine here because the food is always amazing but the experience sometimes makes it lackluster.
