The Honey Baked Ham Company

Came here on a Monday Afternoon to pick up my preordered Christmas Ham! If you order ahead you can skip waiting in line! I also used the coupon offered online for the $7 off any ham. Process was easy. There was a staff member checking if you had a QR code and directing you to the preordered line. The other line had about 10 people waiting. Each register was full and staff were running around checking people out.

Do not, I repeat, Do Not prepay online for your order. It says you get priority. That's a lie. It tells you an approximate size and price, which you have to pay in full in for your order to process, which makes sense. But then, when you go to pick it up, they do not have a ham in the size you ordered. I was offered a smaller ham, which would have been fine, except that I had paid with gift cards and only $2 on my debit card and really did not want just a few bucks on a gift card that I wouldn't use. I also didn't want to pay extra for a bigger ham because I didn't need it.

The girls seemed to understand and said they would look for one in the size I ordered. 20 minutes later they came out with a ham, packaged it up and I was on my way.

Later that night I look over my bank account and find a charge from them for almost $10. I was never told I was being charged for anything, they never asked for my card. They just charged me without saying a word.

I contacted their customer service who said I actually received a Credit for my ham. Then I replied with a copy my receipt and looked at the ham I bought and saw that they charged me $10.49 per pound instead of $8.99 which my receipt stated. They again simply said online is an estimate. I get that, but you don't get to change the price per pound and you don't get to give me a larger ham and then charge me for it without telling me, and never tell me that despite my "priority order" you didn't have a ham anywhere in the store with the correct size and at least give me the smaller ham option again, which at least wouldn't have cost me anything. Now I have to dispute these charges with my bank, I'll probably have to cancel my card per their policy and redo every single auto pay bill pay account I have out there. I am furious! The ham was delicious as usual, but I will NEVER do this again! I refuse to deal with deceitful practices that your customer service department won't even acknowledge or fix.

Company is great, food is great and even the staff but where I think the opportunity can be is the prepaid service. It's a disservice to people who prepaid but the people who did not prepay, that line is moving faster. If I placed my order days in advance and it says it will be ready at 5pm, why is that not the case? It defeats the purpose of a pre-paid order, especially when I showed up earlier than my pickup time. So now as a prepaid order, I have to wait 20-25 minutes. From another customer, I heard they ran out of turkey. So Not sure how that happens around this time of the year. But I won't do it again.

Tried to give this location a second chance via Uber and I received ham salad instead of classic ham. The ham salad is gross, not even edible. Chicken salad sandwich was mediocre.

Thank you so much to Cindy for helping me with a very last minute catering order when 3 other Honey Baked location's could not. She went above and beyond and gave me a truly awesome experience. Great person, great employee. She saved the day. I will recommend this location even if you have to travel 30+ minutes to get it.
