First time and to become a loyal customer. Ordered 3 different (fence)plates and the brisket was so good with pull apart tenderness. Ribs were awesome, links , sausage were also great. Collard greens was very flavorful, Mac n cheese,, beans green beans were just as good. Should've got some to go but will next week. Great service and will definitely recommend and go back.
A friend and I stopped in because of the positive feedback we’d seen. We got there right as they were opening to make sure they weren’t sold out of anything. It’s a cozy little spot with inside and outside seating - kind of rustic and not too fancy. We ordered the “Heavy Hitter” with Brisket, Chicken, Hot Links, Pulled Pork & Bologna. And we had Macaroni & Cheese, Collard Greens, & BBQ Baked Beans for our sides. It was a lot of food for two people. All the meats were tender, tasty and had a nice smoked flavor. The collard greens were probably the best I’ve had in any restaurant. Service by the staff was friendly and attentive.

Ladies were very warming and welcoming, There is a sign that says all that enter is family. Very fitting! As a Chi-town native it was exactly what i was looking for. Some of the best bbq I’ve had in the Phoenix area. The brisket was tender and moist with a great bark. The pork belly is exactly what you hope for. A pork belly sandwich ~$12 is a no brainer. Will definitely go back when I’m in the area.

This place is AMAZING & EXCELLENT!! The food is fantastic and delicious! The ribs are probably the best we've ever had. They are seasoned to perfection and fall off the bone. You can eat them without the sauce (but the sauce is delicious with it as well). The customer service is phenomenal! Every employee was patient, and so accommodating. This place gives you a down south feeling and hospitality. The owner and family are amazing. They truly live up to their high standard!

TO THE OWNERS RESPONSE, NO! This isn’t an ad for little miss bbq this a NEGATIVE review. Your response to every bad review is why you won’t go any further than you are. There’s clear differences in how professional businesses run their ship and possibly the reason someone can even come on your review page and mention another restaurant. These are the type of responses you get from people of a certain ethnicity and why I refuse to even do business with them majority of the time. Every review that said you’re RUDE I’m now inclined to believe because that’s what you display in your responses to paying customers.
I knew when the gentlemen behind the counter presented my plate to me that the brisket was going to be a big disappointment and it was. Mark wiens introduced me to Little Miss BBQ and I haven’t found a place in Arizona to top them yet. Imagine my surprise seeing mark review another local bbq place, I immediately go to the reviews and decided to stay with little miss bbq unfortunately today 11-24-2025 little miss bbq is closed and I needed my brisket fix so I against my better judgement decided upon Jl’s 🤦🏽♀️ I’m from Florida born and raised with a Texas born and raised father so I know bbq THIS AINT IT!! There’s no way your briskest should be this dry and tough; I mean to even put this on someone’s plate that is paying you their hard earned money is shameful. I spent $30 on a 3 meat 2 sides plate and absolutely nothing was good. The ribs were just as dry and flavorless. The Mac and cheese isn’t baked and the noodles were mushy and just as bland. The only thing I ate was the sausage and in order to eat those I had to dip them in the juice from the beans because I didn’t like the bbq sauce. I read the reviews I watched the TikTok’s and read the comments and knew it would be a hit or miss but I’m still baffled. Needless to say my dog had a $30 lunch.

The bbq was excellent. Some of the best I’ve had. Never really have pork ribs but JL’s were delicious. Kind of a hole in the wall kind of restaurant but it definitely did not disappoint. The staff were extremely friendly. Can’t wait to come back.
