Dawns NY Bakery on Central

OMG, this review is over due! I used to drive all the way to Sun City or good pastry! Come to find out Dawn is the daughter of New York West , my favorite bakery ! Her parents retired and she opened Dawn's. When I first visited, I thought, these pastries seem familiar. Well, this is why! Same recipes , same quality, with a couple changes, but all for the good! If you like good pastry, try Dawn's , you won't be disappointed! I recently stopped in to get my friend her favorite, cherry danish. I got the crumb.. She was thrilled ! Don't walk, run to Dawn's ! Yum!

I decided to go to Dawns for some coffee crumb cake to enjoy during the Eagles game this morning. I’m still getting used to watching football at 10 am and really wanted an East Coast treat. Being a NJ native, I grew up on coffee cake and Dawn’s may be one of the best I’ve ever had. They have a huge assortment of pastries, bagels, cakes, donuts! I can’t wait to go back. 10/10 recommend!

I'm a New York transplant.My family has lived in AZ for 27 years. That's how long we have searched for a "REAL" back east bakery. Well Our search is over. We stopped in on Tuesday and was pleasantly surprised. The cases were full of everything that a back east bakery has and more A hundred dollars later( we bought for our family) I can say AMAZING!!! I wish you were CLOSER to South East valley but I definitely will make the trip at least once a month and load up with your delicious baked goodies It was very nice to meet you too Dawn I was the lady from Brooklyn and LI

I've loved everything I have eaten from here! I get lots of treats and am always satisfied. I tried the sesame bread and it was soft and light. The young man behind the counter is so sweet and helpful!

Highly recommend! If you are from the East Coast, this is a little slice of home. Everything is wonderful.

Always worth the visit! The staff is super pleasant and it’s such a win having a talented local baker nearby. Stop wasting your time reading reviews and go grab yourself a sweet treat you won’t regret.

Delicious sweets and pastries, the staff were extremely helpful and welcoming and sooo generous! They gave us an extra treat and I’m so thankful. Be sure to give them a visit and try their mini cheesecakes! ❤️

First visit to this neighborhood bakery. They offer a fantastic selection of breads, cookies, pastries, pies and cakes. We purchased lemon and blueberry hand pies a croissant and some mini eclairs. The hand pies were excellent - flaky crust and tasty filling. The croissant was very good - wonderful crunch on top and light and fluffy inside.
The choux pastry and chocolate on the eclair were great, but the filling was disappointing.I was expecting a bavarian or pastry cream, but this filling was like glue. Very thick and fell out in a clump and very sweet but flavorless. The service was excellent. The young lady at the counter was pleasant, attentive and we loved the attention to detail with the red and white bakery string on the box. We will definitely, return and try other items.
