It was my first time visiting a Kneader’s location but the staff was friendly, the food was of high kind and quality, and the service was prompt. I would recommend visiting to anyone on the fence.
The first thing I noticed when I entered the Kneader’s location off of 48th Street and Ray was the cleanliness and well-presented menu. I was then greeted very warmly by a gentleman named Ryan who took my order and made a few welcome suggestions. When he ultimately delivered the chicken pesto panini I ordered the smell was enchanting, and the taste was great. I would like to extend Ryan’s recommendation of the parmesan chips to go with it. I also could not resist the pumpkin-chocolate chip cookie, which was unbelievably soft.
I would very much recommend a visit to any sandwich lover!

I was thinking a bakery would be awesome for a croissant, expecting fresh and flakey. So, I ordered a breakfast sandwich featuring a croissant. Unfortunately, what I received was something that was pressed extremely flat and was soggy (from the microwave possibly??).
Additionally, instead of a display cabinet having lots of tempting pastries, breads and/or treats that you see at all bakeries, theirs was completely empty. There was a hand-written note on a piece of paper taped to the glass which read something to the effect of "Ask about what we have".
EDIT: The location was 4730 E Ray Road in Phoenix.
Super disappointed. Won't be returning.

Food quality was excellent. They seemed short staffed and there was a long wait.
great food but definitely understaffed, I saw this young man working in the register, taking drive through orders, serving soups, handling delivery drivers and taking food to costumers all by himself. Hope he gets the recognition he deserves, but definitely need more people.

Visited this bakery today with my father. He ordered bread pudding, and I had pumpkin cheesecake. We waited 30 minutes for these 2 items. Once we received our order, I was shocked at the size of my $6.00 piece of cheesecake. It was the smallest slice I had ever been served or paid $6.00 for. It was delicious, but for $6.00, maybe a little bigger slice? The wait was what made the small cheesecake funny. Took 30 minutes to get some bread pudding and tiny slice of cheesecake....too expensive, and it took way too long. Probably won't be back anytime soon

Had a fantastic lunch at Kneaders today! The sandwiches were fresh, and the pastries were so good. Really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere. Plus, you can purchase fresh loaves of bread to take home and enjoy.
I was visiting Phoenix ahwatukee area. And spotted this place. Drove through for a nice breakfast and burrito. Very good. Very fresh. Staff was very kind and very professional. Would definitely go back.

When I tell you the young man at the drive thru made our day, it's an understatement! This young man offered through the speaker box many options to help us order, saying what was "exquisite" including their key lime tarts. Then he chatted very kindly with us about tennis. When we got to the window, he was delightful. Then we pull our food out of the bag and find a free key Lime tart :) absolutely made our day!

This is a great place for a sandwich. Their bread is excellent and really makes the sandwich. Very fresh ingredients. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The interior is comfortable, well designed and not at all chain-y.
