Manager T arranged a seating for our party of 10 neighbors for a perfect evening with excellent service, great food & warm hospitality! Thank you so much - we will be back! Nancy Steriotis
Madi was an excellent server, fast and very courteous. Happy hour food was good and its value was great.
Highly recommend FWB reward. Awesome and easy to use. Indoor is a little cold with wind from outside though, since it's semi-open.
The waiter was good but not very attentive. The chicken stir fried was relatively plain not worth $29.
The Macadamia Nut Turkey meal was very good. There was enough food to take home for another meal. Zack, our server was very nice and attentive.
Great staff; not very familiar with the menu they all should have had to try everything seasonal but our waiter was super cool and very attentive. Final bill was very reasonable and the food was really good!
We arrived with no waiting. We were seated right away and actually got to choose where we wanted to sit. There really wasn't a bad seat in the house. Our server was Zack and he did great and even took time to talk sports with us. He made the visit more personable. We got a couple of appetizers like the meat balls, and the Edamame. I ordered the fish and chips which was a healthy portion. BBQ chicken flat bread was very tasty. And the salad was refreshing. Very enjoyable. Good service and support from the staff and even got a couple of chances to visit with the manager. This is a great place to dine and or even have a business meeting. Thanks for the hospitality Kona Grill! I'll be back to try more food options.
Kona Grill is truly a Valley gem — they do Asian fusion as well as, if not better than, anyone around. Their sushi, steaks, and dishes with a Hawaiian flair are consistently excellent. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between upscale and relaxed, never feeling stuffy. During the warmer months, I always feel comfortable dining there in casual attire. The service is consistently great, and it's clear the staff takes real pride in creating a memorable experience for every guest. Kona has been one of my go-to restaurants for over 10 years, and their happy hour is a fantastic spot for retirees like me to enjoy a great meal at a great price. They've remained one of my favorite places year after year.
The restaurant was not adequately prepared for the Veterans Day special they were offering. Once we were seated, the server was excellent and the food good as usual.
Celebrated two birthdays with friends and had an awesome experience out on the patio for our dinner celebration.

My husband and I went for dinner on a Sunday night when they offered a free entree to Veterans. Upon our arrival we mentioned this special to our server. She seemed stunned for a moment and then said, "of course". My husband proceeded to show his proof of servce in the Army. Our dinners were delicious - my husband ordered the filet of sole which came with three nice pieces of fish and a lovely sauce. I ordered a special they had which was pumpkin lobster ravioli. It was different and I enjoyed it - lots of flavors and nice pieces of lobster on top of the pumpkin filled raviolis. When the bill came, they manager had to "comp" us in a couple of different ways because they were not prepared for the "Veterans Day Special". Everything worked out but one negative was that our server seemed to be pulled in a lot of different directions. While she was a lovely server, she forgot a couple of items because she was stretched in serving quite a few tables that evening.
We waited quite a while after being seated for a server to come to the table. Once we ordered our beverages, it was quite a while before he returned. During the whole meal, his few visits to our table were curt. Although he wasn't rude, he certainly wasn't pleasant or friendly. Our two entrees were OK but nothing special. And because of that, we felt they were overpriced. We certainly don't plan to return to the restaurant, particularly since the traffic in Desert Ridge is total chaos.
If you want rare prime rib don't order here, their idea of rare is brown with no pink or red at all.
Food was good. Service was not great. It seems they were understaffed. Perhaps the result of an unanticipated influx of snowbirds? We sat outside and it was a good evening nonetheless.
The drinks took almost 30 minutes, the food came out at separate times. The macadamia nut chicken was dry and overcooked, and the steak frites, while listed at 6 oz, couldn't have been more than 3oz. We should have sent the food back, but everything took so long and by the time the food arrived, we were running out of time for dinner as we were heading to a comedy show at stand up live. Very disappointing experience!
