Taco Tuesday menu only, on Tuesday. At least when I went. Really delicious! Packed full with chicken.
They're tucked back right of the open air used shipping container mall.

Loco Style Grindz BBQ, Phoenix AZ

Step aside, Phoenix BBQ joints—there’s a new grill master in town, and it’s serving up flavors that’ll have you questioning your loyalty to your usual spot. Enter Loco Style Grindz, where the only thing crazier than their name is the sheer size of their meat platters.

I mean, seriously—this plate was stacked like a Hawaiian luau on steroids. From juicy, smoky pulled pork to the crispy, charred ribs dripping with a creamy, tangy sauce that seems to be sprinkled with magic (or just a lot of mayo), it was a savory assault on the senses. You get a mound of rice to balance things out, because carbs and BBQ go together like SPF and Phoenix sunburn.

The meat was tender enough to be cut with a plastic fork, and the portion sizes? Let’s just say, if you leave hungry, you did it wrong. Each bite was an explosion of flavor—smoke, spice, and that addicting drizzle of sauce. Is it BBQ? Is it an island feast? It’s a little loco, but in the best possible way.

If you’re on a low-carb diet, don’t come here unless you’re prepared to make some exceptions. But if you’re all about big, bold flavors and aren’t afraid to get a little messy, this place will satisfy every carnivorous craving you didn’t even know you had.

Pro Tip: Wear stretchy pants and maybe bring a napkin or twelve.

So disappointed. Went here for drinks and food for Sunday football. Got here at 6:30 pm, halftime for Sunday night football and they closed!! Website said they were open. Definitely won’t be coming again.

I used to love this place back when it was in the Ranch Market. Food was grilled to order and there was love put into the food. It was incredible. Prices were also half. I get Covid caused meat prices to go out of whack, but we've been stable for a while now. $25 for a 3-meat plate that used to be $13 is crazy. Now the food is in warming trays and the flavor just isn't what is used to be. Not worth the price tag. Sad.

Unfortunately their lack of organization and communication, which are crucial for a FOOD BUSINESS, deserves a 1 star review.

Regardless of how “good” your food is, your continued lack of respect for your clients time is just unacceptable. My last three attempts to purchase from you were unsuccessful. Mind you, I didn’t show up an hour before you closed, All three times were 2-3 hours prior to your posted business hours. Your continued disregard to improve this issue, which you’re clearly aware of, only shows your arrogance in believing your food is “SO GOOD,” you can afford to waste peoples time and lose their business. Hopefully your current business model isn’t your downfall…good luck.

If you miss home (Hawaii) it's a good place to eat. Expensive though.

Recently moved here from Las Vegas NV, and to be honest I’ve been super underwhelmed with the food so far. Until today. My boyfriend picked us up food here about an hour ago and the food was incredible. The garlic chicken is the best garlic chicken I’ve ever had. I also had the teriyaki ribeye, chicken katsu, kalbi short rib and it was all 5 stars but the garlic chicken set the bar so high haha Service is amazing too. Thankful to have found this place. You guys completely changed my opinion on the AZ food scene.

Lōco Style Grindz offers a genuine taste of Hawaii right in the heart of Phoenix. The flavors are authentic, that sauce on top should be sold in stores lol.
The portions are generous, making it a standout spot for anyone craving Hawaiian cuisine. However, be mindful of their operating hours; it’s best to arrive well before closing to avoid any disappointment. Like many here, last just I got there at 8pm and ordered without issues, I wanted to order another meal to go at 8:45 and they were closed, even though the hours say open until 12am on weekends

UPDATE. I left work and drove across town to order here tonight. Arrived about approximately 8:20 (I believe they close at 10) only to be told "SOLD OUT". What a waste of time and gas. Honestly, I try to support local businesses but some of these businesses make it hard to do so. You're not a food truck. People shouldn't have to waste their time and money driving to a business with no product.

I've eaten at all the highly rate Hawaiian restaurants in the Phx metro area (and some not so highly rated) except for the one in east Mesa. The food here was bomb. I ordered the four meat combo (kalbi, steak, garlic chicken and kaulua pork). I didn't expect the garlic chicken to be breaded but it was really good. My food box was heavy and stuffed. I got four meals out of the meats, and two out of the rice and mac salad. I would definitely order again!!!!!!

Finally got to have this delicious spot! Had their pork and teriyaki chicken. The chicken was delectable! I will definitely be back to get more. Wish it didn’t take as long as it did to finally try it. Go get yourself some. You will not be disappointed.

I came to place an order at 9:15pm thinking it would be plenty of time considering the fact that they close at 10 pm however I was sadly denied service and was told they were “closing for the night”with 45 minutes left of service. You guys should update your hours to 9:15pm shutting down the kitchen for the night at 10 pm closed . This is very disappointing I would advise everyone to choose wisely before going here
