Delicious! I am so happy to find this sweet gem. Amazing food, the staff is friendly and salsa’s are perfect. We even tasted the fresh mole they were making - YUM. We will be back!

If I lived in this area I would eat here every week. I ordered the tlayuda mixta and every part of the package dish was seasoned and cooked to perfection. I lived in Oaxaca for a short time years ago and have been searching for this dish in the US since I left. When I ate the food it brought literal tears to my eyes. 10/10 🫶🏻

The pastor was good. The huraches were okay. Beans were on the salty side. Menu could definitely have more options. The melon agau Fresca hit the spot. No chips and salsa for a starter was new to me. Probably wouldn’t come again.

Sort of a noisy club vibe for a quiet lunch but i Loved the food at this little bar restaurant down the street from my friend.

1$ wings on Fridays and the carne asada burrito vanessa recommended was especially delicious.

We always try to take advantage of Taco Tuesday and this week we stopped at La Oaxaquena. They specialize in Oaxacan cuisine which is known for its rich flavors and diverse dishes, often featuring indigenous ingredients like corn, chiles, and chocolate, and unique regional specialties like tlayudas, mole, and huaraches. Now on Tuesday's they have $1.99 street tacos including, carne asada, pollo, pastor and chorizo. We tried them all as well as their shrimp taco for good measure. Thier street tacos we filled with delicious and flavorful meats the regional spices shined through in their preparation but the shrimp taco was the star of the show. My only complaint was that the internet advertised $3.00 drafts all day long which I showed the waitress but she said was no longer the case and thier menu listed a side of rice and beans for $2.99 and we were charged $5.98 we really enjoyed the salsa selection the chips and tortillas were homemade. All in all it was a good experience even with the pricing inconsistencies.

Tacos were absolutely delicious and they 100% know how to cook. Very disappointed in the price and service and even the environment. Charging like they're having chef Ramsey cook the food himself. The place is devoid of color and life and prices are clinically insane. I'd definitely come back if i didn't have to take out a second mortgage to eat there. You tried charging an extra 20 dollars for guacamole. No.

This place would probably have been better if I understood more Spanish. I ordered absolutely the wrong thing for my wife and I to eat. We had a little language barrier with the server so it didn't go as smoothly as one would hope. It seems like a nice place it's just not exactly the place for me.

Live music isn't very neighborhood friendly. Music goes late into the night and can heard inside your own house several hundred years away.
