If someone shows me a great photo, I'm probably going to try the food. La Santisima posted a photo for their items for Vegetarian Week. This was a special of 3 veggie tacos with a side of rice and black beans for $15 plus tax.
The restaurant is beautifully decorated with artwork. They have an extensive salsa bar. They even have a pine nut salsa. I tried the Mayan Cochinita Vegan, Aztec Tinga Vegan, and the Santisima Veggie tacos. Each of the tacos were tasty and had layered flavors. I really liked the Santisima Veggie taco. It was probably my favorite. I did not try the vegan cheese.
Would definitely come back with friends.
Excellent salsa bar with a wide variety of rotating flavors (Jicama, Jamaica, Peanut, Cilantro) that dont appear in most Phoenix restaurants. Big fan of their vegetarian and vegan options - there's an entirely seoerate menu for their 2-3 dozen options.
Not from Phoenix, but La Santisima quickly became a favorite.
Tons of taco options and a killer salsa bar with incredible variety. I’ve been back several times and stop by anytime I’m in the area.
Great tacos and quesadillas. Like the sauce bar. Good service and prices. Floor was sticky but that's minor.
Great food, amazing atmosphere, great prices

The tacos were very greasy with very little meat, the rice was hard, the service was not very good, first and last time I visited this restaurant.
Great place. Very chill vibe with unique taco options. An Uber driver had recommended and it didn’t disappoint

Fantastic food, drink & service. If I wasn't from out of state, I'd eat here twice a week, it is that great.

Overall, a disappointing experience. While the food was decent, it didn’t stand out. The salsa bar had variety, but unfortunately, everything tasted rather bland. The service was especially poor, which was surprising given how empty the place was. I’ve seen other reviews mentioning automatic gratuity being added to the bill, and I wouldn’t be shocked if that happened here too—it certainly didn’t seem like anyone would tip voluntarily for the service we received. The quesadilla was okay, but lacked enough meat and cheese to justify the price. The Al Pastor was underwhelming, though the jamaica drink was a standout and definitely the highlight of the meal. If you are going to make aguish menu, be prepared to explain it.

This is such a great spot for authentic, award-winning central Mexican food including guacamole, tacos, and mole. Everything we tried was excellent and included a few unexpected twists - think chunks of fresh mango in the guacamole, horchata from their special family recipe with fruit and nuts in it, and tacos filled with so many delicious choices from pink mole chicken to marinated filet mignon with a variety of chilies, toasted crispy melted Oaxacan cheese, and spicy pecan salsa. This will be a regular stop for us because there are so many flavors that I can’t stop thinking about. This place has been under our radar until now, but not anymore!
