Lacuna has always been a Phoenix Kava staple where bohemians and weirdos could hang in peace. Recently there was an internal change and the music the new management is playing is GOD AWFUL! They are playing the worst, most corporate standard radio songs and the atmosphere BLOWS! Not even the cool early y2k songs like the pussycat dolls or lollipop by lil Wayne. No the new management is playing Jason Maraz and Bruno Mars. The antithesis of cool kava scene music.
Please bring back the psychedelic bassy tunes facilitated a cool vibe and made regulars want to stick around for a fun and down to earth vibe. Please end the ugly ugly noise that makes people want to leave and not hang out.
Let Lacuna have the life of the kavatenders weirdness flowing through it. Not this vapid hallow noise that is currently occupied the space.
Once the music gets better I would def come back. Until then I can’t stand to go inside, so I’ll have to unfortunately get my kava somewhere else (with good music).

This place is SO COOL! i’ve never been to a place like this that incorporates kratom into their drinks but it is definitely one of my new favorite addictions! Joshua was one of the coolest dudes I’ve ever met and I forget the name of the other employee, but she was amazing and had the coolest story about the house and the original story about who lived in the house when it was built in the 20s. They have events on Tuesday and Thursday nights, as well as yoga and 100% will be back there on Tuesday for yoga and any other events in the future.

They don’t actually sell food, but have amazing drinks! It’s like Lost Leaf (former bar) with an herbier vibe. ☺️😅
They even have an option to play video games and they are also a botanical garden open for coworking from 12pm - 12pm during the week. .

My second time visiting and didnt over do it on Kratom this time. First time, with no experience with Kratom, I over did it and got a bit ill. Grabbed some snacks and came around quickly..regardless, I love the vibe and seating options. Very chill atmosphere and the staff is super friendly and informative. Excellent location with easy access to parking. If you are down with the hippie vibe, you'll feel right at home.
